Top 10 Things To Do In St. Lucia

1. Four wheel on the black sand beach
It's hard to tell in the photos but it really was black sand. This was seriously such a cool experience, I believe there's only 2 beaches like it in the world - a once in a lifetime experience. The tour guide took us on 2 different beaches, through rivers, into the jungle with steep hills, stopped to show us fruit trees and gave us a little history lesson too. My husband even stopped and climbed up a tree to get fruit on our way back! I drove to the beach and then hopped on my husband's with him and rode on the back on our way back.

2. Hot springs mud bath
This was really different from anything I've ever done. At first I was iffy on it, not sure I wanted to participate but I figured YOLO (do people still say that anymore? Jeeze I feel old) lol! But its all natural and makes your skin SUPER soft. I would highly recommend wearing a bathing suit you don't really care about because it will definitely stain - that's why we're all wearing crazy things! Haha. These were all cheap swimsuits we picked up from a local shop on our way there.

3. Sunset Catamaran Cruise
I will say off the bat, the boat was a lot smaller than I expected but it was very initiate. The back of the boat has a netted bottom to lay on and in the front of the boat there is a seating area and indoor with food and drinks. It was very relaxing and a beautiful sight.

4. Get a massage with a view
This was picture perfect, literally. It was a cabana ocean front with a view of a small islet. The quality of the massage was great, the sound of the ocean and the breeze was perfect. It made me not want to get an indoor massage ever again lol.

5. Relax in the lazy river
What better way to enjoy a vacation than float down a lazy river with a drink in your hand? Sign me up! This was super relaxing, we actually did this a few times we were there. If you like to relax on vacation instead of go-go-go, then this is for you!

6. Waterfalls
After the hot springs mud bath, our tour guide took us to this beautiful waterfall to rinse off. It's even pretty to just look at. The water was super cold but because it was so hot and sweaty, it was really refreshing. I actually wanted to stay here longer than we actually did. But definitely a sight to see!

7. See the Pitons
Talk about a sight to see! I took this photo on our four wheeling adventure right before my phone died! It's probably my favorite photo. There's actually 2 Pitons, a big one and a small one and many places you can see them from the island - or if you're adventurous enough and want a work out, you can climb up it. I'm more of an "I'll-look-at-it" type of girl. Haha.

8. Have fun on the water slides or at the swim up bar
Having fun is what vacation is all about! Don't want to float in a pool? Rip down the water slides! There is a 2nd level that is not pictured of larger slides. The top of the green slide is actually a pool you land in from the other slides. We had a blast on these with both my parents and his siblings. Then of course there is the swim up bar which had great drinks.

9. Try a local bar & the local alcohol
Their local beer is "Piton" named after the 2 famous Pitons. They also had a wine cooler which was actually really good. Definitely my favorite. The Admiral Rodney is distilled in St. Lucia and was a recommendation from one of the bar tenders. My husband liked it! The other photos are from a local bar that our four wheeling tour guide took us to. It was pretty dark and didn't look like there was any electricity, just the light from the windows and there were animals (chickens, ducks, dogs) running around which was pretty cool.

10. Paintball
This last one unfortunately I don't have photos of as we didn't have time to unfortunately but this is definitely on our list to do next time!

The resort offered so many other excursions, activities and tours but being there for 8 days was just not enough! If you're looking for zip lining and tours, scuba diving and fishing, they've seriously got it all available! Tell 'em Shelby sent you ;) haha.

VIB Rouge Sale: Top 10 Picks

If you shop at Sephora, you know that they have their annual sales twice a year - once in the Winter and once in the Spring. This year, they decided to throw a gift our way with a surprise Summer sale too! Try saying that 5 times fast lol.

They are having a sale which starts TODAY for Rouge members!
For VIB and Beauty Insiders, it starts on the 30th.
Below are the coupon codes for each level.

Coupon Codes:
Rouge - YESROUGE (8/24-9/3)
VIB - YESVIB (8/30-9/3)
Beauty Insider - YESINSIDER (8/30-9/3)

Honestly, there's 3 things you can go for during these sales - either take the opportunity to splurge on the pricier items, try out newer products that you've been wanting to try, or use it to restock on items you're running low on or completely out of.

With that being said, here are the items on my list for recommendations the sale:

HUDA Beauty FauxFilter Foundation($40) / Becca Skin Love Weightless Blur Foundation($44)
I have really dry skin so either of these would be really good since they are not matte. I try to stay away from matte as much as possible. I would choose HUDA if I want full coverage and Becca if I want medium coverage.
Too Faced Born This Way Concealer ($29) / Tarte Creaseless Undereye Concealer ($26)
I know you're probably sick of seeing both of these concealers at this point. But I haven't jumped on the bandwagon yet to try them out myself so now would be the time I would get at least one of them to test my opinions. If I had to choose just one, I think I would go for Born This Way just because of how much product you get. It's literally like a foundation size.
Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Sheet Mask ($12) / Sephora Sheet Mask in Rose ($6)
I've wanted to try the Tatcha one for awhile just never purchased it because I usually go with what I know. I've used the Sephora sheet masks plenty of times and like them but I'd want to try something new too. I know Yoli uses the Tatcha ones on Desi Perkins all the time. Definitely want to try because if this will transform my skin into Desi's skin... girrrrrrrrrrrrrllllll!
Tarte Pack Your Bags Under Eye Patches ($22)
This would be a restock. I've used them before and love them. The consistency is a jelly like feeling and they're just really cooling and hydrating on the skin.

Hourglass Veil Setting Powder ($46)
A lot of places seem to be stepping up their setting powder game and honestly, I may be getting a little over my Laura Mercier setting powder. Maybe it's time to try something new!

NAR Orgasm Afterglow Lip Balm ($28)
What I'm about to say may shock you, so prepare yourself - but I'm really not a huge fan of the Orgasm blush. It's pretty don't get me wrong, just not something I gravitate towards. I actually much rather their discontinued blush in Douceur; however, this lip balm right here looks bommmbbb. Sign me up.

Watermelon Pink Glow Moisturizer Mini ($21)
I can't remember which YouTuber it was, but I saw them raving about this and the packaging and color is just so cute and reminds me of a watermelon (obviously). But they have a mini size now which I love when I'm trying out new products to see if I like them or not.

I'd love to hear what you're planning on getting or what you've already purchased! Leave it in the comments below :)

Top 10 MAC Lipsticks

There are tons of MAC lipsticks! How can you decide on just one lipstick out of so many options?! Well here are the most popular ones that I've been hearing the most about for the past few months. These are all permanent colors so there aren't any limited edition ones that I included that you have to rush out to get.
1. Honeylove
Light beige with rose tones. This is perfect paired with MAC lipliner in Whirl. The perfect nude match made in heaven.

2. Myth
Satin finish light nude. This is a little too light of a nude for my fair babies out there, but it's still a very pretty nude color.

3. Velvet Teddy
Matte deep beige. This nude has more of a brown undertone so for those of you that love brown lipsticks, this one is for you!

4. Blankety
Soft pink-beige. This lipstick is said to be one of Kim Kardashian's most used from awhile back when she always had those perfect nude/pink lips. I need this in my life. This is the perfect pinkish nude color.

5. Angel
Frost finish soft pink. This is another lipstick that Kim Kardashian was said to wear. It's a beautiful every day color for anyone.

6. Crème Cup
Crèmesheen light blue pink. This was my first ever MAC lipstick and I love it. It's a very light pink with blue undertones and it stands out.

7. Ruby Woo
Matte blue undertoned red. Everyone and their mama has this lipstick and it's super hyped up for a reason. This is a beautiful red for those of you that love a red lippie.

8. Diva
Matte burgundy. Love vampy lips? This is for you! A gorgeous deep reddish burgundy color. Ugh this color is beautiful!

9. Rebel
Satin plum. This is like the sister of Diva, except more purple undertones. It's a wine, vampy color and perfect for Fall.

10. Sin
Matte deep dark blue red. This lippie is like a combination of Diva and Rebel. It's much darker and it has both blue undertones and burgundies.

Bonus: Heroine
This is more for those daring dolls out there. It's a matte bright purple.
