Stila Liquid Eyeshadow Review: Glitter On The Go Set

Sephora has a Stila gift set on their website called Glitter On The Go Set for ($25) and Sephora claims it is a $36 value. It comes with 3 Stila Liquid Eyeshadows in the following shades:

  • Rose Gold Retro
  • Smoldering Satin
  • Kitten Karma
L - R (Rose Gold Retro, Smoldering Satin, Kitten Karma)

Shades in the Set
Rose Gold Retro - This shade to me has like a burnt reddish undertone with rose gold
Smoldering Satin - This shade is so hard to describe, it reminds me of metal but has like reflects of different almost purple shades. It reminds me of an edgy smoky eye.
Kitten Karma - This one is my favorite. It's like a light gold, champagne shade. Their original kitten eye shadow was very popular when I first started - for obvious reasons - it's stunning, so I'm glad they made this shade into one of their liquid eyeshadows.

Packaging & Product Review
These are all less than 1 oz each, (0.07 oz) to be exact. The packaging is very modern with a rectangular clear plastic tube and a matte gold twist off cap. When you twist off the cap, it is connected to a wand with a dual sided doe-foot applicator. There is very little fall out, but it definitely has some fall out. So I can't state that it has no fallout what-so-ever. But the colors are so pigmented and stunning. As the name states, they are Glitter Liquid Eyeshadows, so of course there is glitter.

The set is a great way to try them out and test out the colors to see which ones are your favorite but 0.07 oz isn't really much. I've used the Kitten Karma twice, maybe, three times and I can already see the product emptying. Overall on a scale of 5 stars, I would give this set a 4. I'd deduct half a point for the minor fallout and half a point for the amount of product.

How to Apply & When to Wear
After twisting off the cap and pulling out the wand with the applicator, you want to set it on the location you want the product to apply to using swiping motions inward to outward. For example, if you want it on your lid - start at the inner corner and swipe towards your outer corner. This is definitely a product where once you place it, it's not coming off so you'll need to be careful and really only place the product where you want it. I've learned the hard way it's not really something you can blend away without getting glitter all over the rest of your lid. But once it's on where you want it, it's STUNNING.

These are perfect for a night out or a special occasion to make your eyes really stand out. Or heck - even if you want to rock it on a regular day for no reason at all. When I wear these I've gotten multiple compliments on my eyes. Personally, I would only wear these if I were going out or on a special occasion because they're very pigmented. On my normal day-to-day I like to keep a minimal makeup look. But more power to you if you like to rock the bold on a daily.

Best Eyeliners

Don't hate me for the awful image quality, I have no clue what's going on. Before I transfer them they look perfect and then when I transfer them they look really blurry so I apologize! Anyways! I am very excited to be doing this post because I loveee eyeliner. My favorite makeup product would definitely be foundation, but I love a good winged liner. The first eyeliner I ever attempted winged liner with was the Stila Stay All Day Liquid Liner (middle) and it was the easiest way for me to learn. I actually got it on my first try! Shocking, right? I'm going to explain to you why I chose these three eyeliners specifically to be considered the "best" eyeliners out there. If you have any you think are the best and want me to try let me know, I'm always up for trying new products! Just an excuse for me to go makeup shopping :)

1. Marc Jacobs Highliner in Blaquer: I use this eyeliner to tightline my lower lash line because it's the first eyeliner that actually stays in place. It is VERY pigmented and I don't notice it transferring to my under eye concealer throughout the day. It's the only eyeliner I'll use for my lower lash line

2. Stila Stay All Day Liquid Eyeliner in Black: Some people have an easier time doing winged liner with gel, I personally have an easier time doing my winged liner with a felt tip liquid liner like this one. It's very pigmented and easy to work with. I will continue to repurchase this always. It's also a Sephora favorite, so hellllooo, definitely worth it. This one literally stays on ALL day just like the name says. I once fell asleep with my makeup on (I know, I know, it's awful for my skin but it doesn't happen often) and when I woke up the next morning it literally looked like I just applied my eyeliner.

3. Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper: Before I tried this I thought I couldn't live without my Stila Stay All Day Liquid Liner. Once I tried this, I realized I had a tie betweek the two. I switch back and forth between the two all the time but I might love this one a little bit more. The felt tip the Stila one has is very easy to work with; however, the unique brush tip this eyeliner has makes it even easier to get a precise line.

Employee Friends & Family Discount: Sephora Haul!

Many of you know that Sephora has very limited sales each year so when Sephora does have a sale, I definitely take full advantage of it. This sale was a 20% off sale for Sephora Employee's Friends & Family. They were exclusive promo codes that Sephora employees had to email to you so unfortunately if you aren't friends with a Sephora employee, well - you should find one to become friends with haha! So here are all of the goodies I got while taking advantage of the 20% off. All of these are holiday sets because honestly, it's the best bang for your buck. It's the easiest way to try out multiple products without paying the heft price. So don't hate me for it as these are limited edition items. I'm almost 100% sure everything except one item is still in stock! Sephora still has one more sale this year that I'm looking forward to and trust me, there is definitely more to come!

I have a rule with myself though. Every year I purchase all this makeup starting from end of August, early September and I don't touch it until Christmas. I take pictures of it for all of you and then it goes away and gets wrapped for Christmas. It's more exciting that way cause it becomes a build up of so many sets. Eeeek!

Sephora Lashstash $45
Includes 9 mini mascaras, one full size eyeliner, and an eyelash curler:
Benefit Roller Lash Mascara, Blinc Mascara, Buxom Lash Mascara, Hourglass Cosmetics 1.5MM Mechanical Gel Eye Liner, Marc Jacobs Beauty O!Mega Lash Volumizing Mascara in Blacquer, MAKE UP FOR EVER Mascara in Smoky Extravagant, NARS Cosmetics Audacious Mascara in Black Moon, Tarte best in faux extending fibers, Tarte picture perfect™ eyelash curler, Too Faced Cosmetics Better Than Sex Mascara, Yves Saint Laurent Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils

Sephora Favorites Brow Raising Brow Wardrobe $40
I purchased mine in Light/Medium, but they have the same set for Dark brows as well. This set is really great. The Anastasia products alone make this set worth it in my opinion.

This set includes: Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel, Anastasia Brow Wiz in Taupe, Benefit High Brow Pencil, Kat Von D Tattoo Brow in Blonde, SEPHORA COLLECTION Compact Mirror, SEPHORA COLLECTION Tweezers, Smashbox Cosmetics Brow Tech Gloss Stick in Taupe

LaVanila Starlight Deo Trio $32
I recently started being more conscious about the products I put onto my body and I've been using LaVanila deodorants for about 6 months now and I'll never go back. I was so excited when I saw they had another Deo Trio out as they came out with one in the summer with more summery scents. All 3 are full size deodorants and each of them are normally $14 so you save about $10, almost the price of one full size.

Includes: Deodorant in Vanilla Snowberry, Pure Vanilla, Vanilla Amber

Stila Eternally Yours Liquid Lipstick Set $39 (out of stock)
Unfortunately this set is out of stock but I have a feeling they'll be bringing it back. I personally don't have any Stila Liquid Lipsticks but I've been dying to try Patina and Aria so this set was PERFECT for me. I'm not entirely a fan of Como and Chianti, but the other 4 colors I am dyinnngggg over. And the formula seems great too!

Includes:
Carmello, Patina, Aria, Como, Chianti, and Fiery

Sephora Favorites Superstars $75
This set seemed a little pricey to me when it first released. I expected it to be $59, but the price tag is $75 and although there are some great products in here, I feel like it's a little expensive. However, if you think about it and break everything down, it does definitely have a great value. Sephora prices the value at $207 so you do save money.

Here's what it includes: Beautyblender® original, Benefit They're Real! Mascara, Clinique Chubby Stick Sculpting Highlight, Lancôme DRAMA LIQUI-PENCIL™ Extreme Longwear Eyeliner in Noir Intense, Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Highlight, MAKE UP FOR EVER Step 1 Skin Equalizer Hydrating Primer / Base step 1 skin equalizer, NARS Dual Intensity Eyeshadow in Himalia, Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water (travel size), Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner in Intense Black, Tarte the sculptor contouring face slenderizer in park ave princess , Tarte The slenderizer bamboo contouring brush, Touch in Sol Stretchex Stretch Lash Effect Mascara , Urban Decay Eye shadow in Lounge

Best Bite Rewind $25
These sets are almost a tradition of mine because I purchased the Bite Beauty Remix which had the same packaging as last year, it just included different shades. But the formula of Bite products are incredible! Absolutely worth it. And although it states "mini", they are definitely big enough to be full size to me. I don't run through lip products all that fast so these will last awhile. I am dying over Café and Torte!

Includes: Café (peachy-brown nude), Torte (brown-toned rose), Coulis (raspberry red), Aubergine (eggplant)

What's New At Sephora?

Today's the last day for the Sephora VIB sale and there are some fun, new products out. There's always something new at Sephora. Sometimes I can't keep up! But here are some interesting new products:

Glamglow Powercleanse
Kat Von D Ink Liner
Stila Aqua Glow Watercolor Blush
Makeup Forever Artist Plexi Gloss

I've been wanted to try all these Glamglow cleansers, but haven't picked any up yet. The Kat Von D ink liner has been out for awhile, but she's come out with new, bold shades. The Stila blush is part of their Summer collection so I can only imagine the rest of the Summer collection should be up soon. The MUFE Plexi Gloss is something I've seen sneak peeks of and they look pretty pigmented!

What are your thoughts on these?

New Summer Shades!: Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipsticks

Stila came out with 5 new liquid lipstick shades for Summer PLUS new beautiful gold packaging. I absolutely adore the new packaging! The new colors are Rosa (bubblegum pink), Como (bright violet), Bella (bright pink), Venezia (bright red), and Almafi (coral pink). I definitely need to get my hands on Rosa because it is literally screaming my name. They are still the same price as the other Stay All Day Liquid Lipsticks ($22) and you can find these on Stila's website here.

A Steal from Stila

I know there are a lot of people that are in love with Stila's dual lip and cheek creams and now is your chance to get your hands on 3 of them for just $20! They are available now on Stila's Website. They are 3 deluxe size dual lip and cheek creams. Their individual deluxe size is $10 so you are basically buying 2 and getting one free! I definitely think it's a good deal especially if you're just wanting to try them out. They are part of their Spring collection which is why they are named "Beauty in Bloom". How creative?!

Stila Review: "In The" Palettes

Ulta was having a sale on these palettes a little while back and they were half off, so I couldn't pass up that deal! Instead of $40 a piece, I got them for $20 each! There are 4 of these palettes: In the Garden, In The Moment, In the Light, and In the Know. I personally was not attracted to "In The Know", so I only picked up the other three. Honestly, I pretty much just purchased these because they were on sale and I didn't expect much from them. I wasn't WOWED, but I thought they were cute. After swatching them, I am definitely impressed with the pigmentation and the colors. The only issue I had was with the matte shades; they were a little harder to swatch. These palettes also come with a smudge proof eyeliner which is awesome. I'm definitely glad I picked these darlings up.

In the Garden

L-R: Chinois, Breeze, Bark, Freesia, Rosette, Nectar, Honey, Sage, Moss, Juniper
My favorite colors from this palette are Freesia and Rosette! They're just so gorgeous and different.

In the Moment

L-R: Instinct, Impulse, Glance, Improvise, Catalyst, Desire, Wonder, Spontaneous, Whim, Captivate
My favorite colors from this palette are Impulse and Glance. They are both soft, pretty lavender colors!

In the Light

L-R: Bare, Kitten, Bliss, Sunset, Sandstone, Bubbly, Gilded Gold, Luster, Night Sky, and Ebony
My favorite colors from this palette are Kitten and Bliss. Kitten is such a pretty neutral shimmer and Bliss is a great transition color.

What are your thoughts on these palettes? Comment below :)

Top Ten Tuesday

It's ONLY Tuesday. As much as I hate to say that, at least it's TOP TEN TUESDAY! Today is going to be a top ten from products I'm purchasing from Sephora with my 20% off coupon code (unfortunately the codes cannot be used more than once or else I'd share with you darlings!)

1. Tarte Bon Voyage
I've heard so many good things about this set and who could beat all of this for $59? The colors in the palette are mostly neutral which are my go-to's but there are other, darker colors in there if you're more adventurous!

2. Glamglow Gift Sexy
Okay, let's put this into perspective. ONE full size (1.2 oz) container runs you to about $69 at the cashier plus tax. This set contains 1 full size and two 0.05 oz containers for the same price! And if you feel like that isn't saving much, let me just say the 0.05 oz are about $20 each, so you're saving about $40 bucks, getting 3 items instead of 1 and you get to try 3 of their masks. Hallelujah!

3. Too Faced La Belle Carousel
I think the packaging on this is SUPER cute and I can't get enough of it. It comes with a mini mascara, has eye shadows, bronzer, and blush! What more could you ask for?

4. Peter Thomas Roth 21st Birthday Kit
I've heard PTR is great with their skin care products and I've been really into skin care lately so I figured this would be a good set to try. I haven't heard anything about these specific products, but I guess I'll find out!

5. Makeup Forever HD Complexion Starter Kit
I've been really wanting to try some MUFE products so here's the perfect little kit to get started :)

6. Boscia Little Black Book
More skin care stuff... LOL. But I've seen the black Boscia mask used on a lot of people so I figured, why not?

7. Stila Stay All Day Liquid Liner in Black
Because my travel size one dried out (waahhhh) My absolute FAV eyeliner!

8. NARS Virtual Domination Cheek Palette
When I first saw this palette my eyes we automatically drawn to it. I don't have anything NARS so this will be my first product from them and I'm so excited it'll be this!

9. Bobbi Brown Bronze Glow
Oh. My. Heavens! Can we say gorgeous? This is another product line I don't have anything from and I've heard so much hype about this beauty so I'm excited to say this will be my first Bobbi Brown product.

10. Peter Thomas Roth 24K Gold Mask Magic Kit
Because it's 24K gold, why else?!

BONUS: I reached VIB!

Hope you lovelies enjoyed. What did YOU get with your 20% off?!

Holiday Collection and Lorac Review

Happy Saturday beauties! I hope you are all enjoying your weekend! Unfortunately I'm sicky and stuck at home trying to get better. BUT, on a good note, I received some goodies this week that I'm dying to review :)

I ordered the Lorac Pro 2 Palette from HauteLook. Retail price is $42 and I got it half off with a coupon code! The coupon code was NEW20SUMMER but I'm not sure if it's still able to be used. Wit HauteLook, you have to be patient because shipping takes awhile. And by awhile, I mean 3-4 weeks! Yikes. But I was willing to wait because I got it half off. Anywho, I was extra excited when I got it in the mail and I literally just tried the shadows out yesterday and they are extremely pigmented! This palette did not disappoint and it's worth the hype. I don't have the first Lorac Pro palette yet, but I think I like the colors in that one more than the second one because they're more neutral, but the second one is still amazing and I think it's a good Fall palette because of the deeper colors like the plum, navy blue, army green, and the rust color. It also came with a primer and a huge tube of mascara which I also tried yesterday and really liked!

I also purchased the Tarte Pin Up Girl blush palette, the Stila One Step Correcting Primer, and Too Faced's Melted Kisses set. I seriously have nothing bad to say about any of them! The Tarte blush palette is absolutely gorgeous and the clutch packaging is the cutest! It also comes with two bobby pins; one has pearls and the other has rhinestones. How frikin cute?! The colors I believe are limited edition, but they come in Breathless, Embraced, Whimsy, Bashful, and Irreplaceable. Seriously, go. get. this. NOW before it's gone. The picture below does absolutely no justice for how great these colors are!

The Stila One Step Correcting Primer is so lightweight! I got this for $20 for Ulta's 21 Days of Beauty when retail price is $36. Stila Steal! I love it so much, I think this is going to become my daily primer.

Too Faced's Melted Kisses holiday set I bought because I've heard a million things about them. Now, I know there is an L.A. Girl Lip Glaze that is super similar to these and a lot cheaper. Too Faced's Melted lippies run $21 for one! This set of four was $25 but they are miniature. A regular sized Melted lipstick is 0.4 oz and these are 0.16 oz each, so there's a big difference, but it's great if you're a first time buyer and just want to try a few out. And it's also great for a gift. I'm happy with this purchase and when I swatched them, the colors are to die for! My favorites are the nude and berry :) See the picture below for the swatches. Left is without the flash, right is with flash.

Thanks for viewing babes!
