Lorac Mega Pro 3 Palette Review & Comparison

For those of you that haven't heard of the brand Lorac, run out and grab one of their Pro palettes, even if it isn't this one. Honestly their eye shadows are always my go to. I truly don't reach for ANY of my other eyeshadow palettes except for these because they're that good. They're pigmented, buttery and super blendable. By far my favorite formula, I don't think any other brand holds a candle to their pro eye shadows. So what is the Mega Pro palette you ask? Lorac comes out with these Mega Pro palettes during the holidays each year that are twice the size of their original Pro palettes with 32 shadows rather than 16. Their original Pro palettes have 2 rows of 8 shadows and as pictured below, the Mega Pro has 4 rows of 8 shadows. The top two rows are matte shadows and the bottom two rows are shimmery. It retails for $59 which if you divide that by the 32 shadows that are in the palette, that makes each individual shadow only $1.85 a piece which is such a steal! The regular Pro palettes are $44 so for $15 more you get an extra 16 shadows!
I personally love the shade selection they choose because they tend to put a lot of wearable colors as well as neutrals and I'm a neutral kind of gal so they're right up my alley.
Below is the Mega Pro collection. The first one is the burgundy and gold packaging, the second one is the cobalt and silver, and the third is the white and rose gold. I personally love the packaging on these, the only down side is the material of them, which is like a rubbery feeling that's really hard to describe, gets dirty pretty quickly, but otherwise they're stunning.
Below is a picture of all 3 palettes and you can see they're pretty similar but me being a makeup collector and how much I love their shadows, I can never pass up these limited edition palettes. I personally thing they're worth every penny and I definitely get my use out of them.

Lorac Mega Pro 2 Palette Review and Swatches

I know a lot of you have been debating on purchasing the limited edition Lorac Mega Pro 2 palette considering last year's Mega Pro palette was a hit. The majority of people are mainly concerned about color payoff and the actual shade selection considering this years palette is more cool toned. So I'm here to try to help you make a decision whether to grab it or pass.

The packaging is pretty much the same as last years other than the beautiful cobalt blue they chose compared to the burgundy they had in 2014. This is an Ulta exclusive so you will not find this at Sephora. The price is $59 and although that seems like a lot of money for one palette, keep in mind you are getting 32 different shades!

The shade selection might have cooler tones but they're all still beautiful nonetheless, extremely blendable and easy to work with just as all of Lorac Pro shadows are. Lorac Pro shadows are my absolute favorite formula for eyeshadows so even though I was one that was also devating on this when I first saw the sneak peek, once it released I HAD to have it.

The formula is extremely buttery so they are delicate but the pigmentation is out of this world. This is a limited edition item so it wont be around long so making a decision now rather than later when it's already sold out is your best option. I know a lot of people said they wanted to skip out on last years and are now regretting it.

So just to give you some more motivation on making your decision and more detail, because when it comes to limited edition makeup I am quite the enabler, here are swatches of this beautiful palette.

Mini Holiday Haul

Holiday shopping already? YES girl, because I've learned my lesson. If I don't pick up the limited edition sets when they come out and wait til November/December, they'll be GONE. And I'm not trying to pay double the price on eBay, ya feel me?! So I've been snatching up the holiday sets that I've had my eyes on and I am sooo thankful I was able to be dear lawwwdd these sets are beautyyyyyful. Here's what I've hauled so far because TRUST ME, it's only September and there is way more to come! :)

Tarte Bling It On Blush Palette
This retails for $44 at Sephora and is worth every stinkin' penny! The Tarte blush formula is just amazing. They come out with a blush palette every year and since last year, I made it a tradition to pick it up each year.

Carli Bybel x BH Cosmetics Palette
This was a limited edition palette that comes with 10 eyeshadows and 4 highlighters. It retails for $12.50! An amazing steal! It is sold out at the moment but rumor has it, Carli wants to bring it back because she wants everyone that wants one to get one. How sweet?!
Laura G Nail Polish Set
@laurag_123 on Instagram came out with her own line of nail polishes. This set retails for $48. She also has 2 separate sets that has just 4 polishes that I believe is only $24 which is amazing considering these actually cost $14 a piece! So I had to get them mainly because of the nude and the mauve color but ugh they're all stunning. She is also coming out with a matte top coat that I can't wait to get my hands on.
Becca Glow On The Go Set and Becca AfterGlow PaletteI purchased both of these off of the Ulta website. The Glow On The Go Set retails for just $20! So for those of you that have been dying to try the most loved highlighter out there, Opal, now is your chance without spending the big bucks for the full size. The AfterGlow palette retails for $39.50 which is not bad for all the shades you get. You get 5 shades: 3 highlighters and 2 blushes (Moonstone, Rose Gold, Topaz, Wild Honey, and Flowerchild). And the packaging is just stunnninnngg!

Too Faced Melted Kisses & Sweet Cheeks and La Crème Lipstick SetI always love love loveeeee Too Faced packaging, especially for the holidays because they always do it big. But I had to pick up the Melted Kisses & Sweet Cheeks because I really wanted to try their blushes. This retails for $36 and both the melted lipsticks and blushes are travel size. The blushes are suuuper mini but they're adorable. This set includes melted lipstick in Fig, Peony, and Nude and blushes in Your Love is King, Justify My Love, and Love Hangover. The La Crème lipstick set retails for $29 which is a steal because one of their lipsticks costs $21 and you're getting 3 FULL SIZE lipsticks plus an adorable bag. The shades include Nude Beach, Taffy, and limited to this set WHAM!.

Another super cute thing about the Melted Kisses and Sweet Cheeks set is that you can potentially break them into 3 sets and give them as gifts to one of your makeup loving friends. But as the packaging says, "None for you, ALL for ME!" Haha.

And last but not least, this baby just released on Ulta's website for Platinum members and I definitely had to scoop this up before it was gone. I purchased the Lorac Mega Pro palette from last year and it is my FAVORITE palette ever. I have the Lorac Pro 1, Lorac Pro 2, the Mega Pro and now I'm adding this one to my collection.

The Just One Tag

Last week I was tagged in a "Just One" tag by the awesome Beautylymin. This tag is where you have to choose only ONE product in each category which is obviously difficult for every girl because how can you choose JUST ONE?! But, I've somehow managed to narrow mine down. Here goes nothin'!

Facial Cleanser: This is more of a makeup remover, but it is also considered a cleansing oil. It is the Boscia Makeup-Breakup Cool Cleansing Oil. This stuff works wonders at removing your makeup. I actually have a full review/demo on this beauty! I'm seriously running out fast and I need to pick up another one before I do run out.

Lip Gloss: NYX Buttergloss in Éclair has to be my favorite gloss because it adds such a beautiful pink color to my lips. Although it's a little sticky, I still love it, especially for the price!

Eyeshadow single: I don't have too many eyeshadow singles because I literally hoard palettes lol, but I have a handful of Colourpop eyeshadows which are singles and my absolute favorite is Fringe for all over the lid. It is a beautiful metallic cashmere color. I've put a pretty good dent in it so far.
Nail Polish: I've been wearing a ton of different nail polish lately, but I am obsesssseddd with mint green. I have a few mint green nail polishes, but this nail polish is just the perfect mint green. This is Essie's Mint Candy Apple.

Lipstick: This has to be YSL #10 Beige Tribute. It is the perfect pinky-nude. I've used this a few times, but I try to use it sparingly because I don't want to run out! The packaging on this is just on point, too! #allgoldeverything
Blush: I have quite a few blushes and it was hard to choose from, but I narrowed it down to NARS Douceur. The color is hard to describe. It's like a nude, peachy, pink color. I think it gives a beautiful natural look, great for no-makeup-makeup days!

Foundation: I love love love Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation, but I've only tried a sample of it, so I can't really include it in here. So lately I've been loving the Maybelline Fit Me Matte & Poreless. It seriously makes my skin look flawless. Only down side is it will cling to dry patches if you have any so I would just suggest exfoliating like crazy before using this bad boy.

Two items I would buy over and over again: If I ever ran out of my Maybelline Fit Me Concealer or The Balm Marylou-Manizer, I would definitely repurchase them! Two holy grails. Marylou-manizer is a highlighter that just makes your skin POP. Ugh I dieeeee when I use this beauty because it's just so gorgeous on the skin. The Maybelline Fit Me Concealer is a great consistency. It's not too watery and it's not too thick to the point where you can't blend it.
Mascara: This one was sooo hard for me because I really love my L'Oreal Voluminous mascara, but Urban Decay's Perversion just plumps out my lashes to no extent. The brush on this mascara is unlike any other mascara brush I've ever used before. This is a huge YES in my book. And in my personal opinion, better than the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara.

Eyeshadow palette: This is hands down my Lorac Pro Mega (or is it Mega Pro? I can never get it right!) I think Lorac has one of the best eyeshadow palettes. They are pigmented, have beautiful colors, and last long on the eyes. I chose this over my Lorac Pro 1 or Lorac Pro 2 because it has such a variety of shades. I know this was limited edition, so I'm sorry for including it, but I just had to!

Bronzer/Powder: I forgot to photograph my favorite bronzer, but it would have been Too Faced's Milk Chocolate Soleil! It smells amazing and it gives me the perfect bronze for my fair skin.

I tag the following ladies:

And if anyone else is interested, feel free to join in on this tag :)
