Employee Friends & Family Discount: Sephora Haul!

Many of you know that Sephora has very limited sales each year so when Sephora does have a sale, I definitely take full advantage of it. This sale was a 20% off sale for Sephora Employee's Friends & Family. They were exclusive promo codes that Sephora employees had to email to you so unfortunately if you aren't friends with a Sephora employee, well - you should find one to become friends with haha! So here are all of the goodies I got while taking advantage of the 20% off. All of these are holiday sets because honestly, it's the best bang for your buck. It's the easiest way to try out multiple products without paying the heft price. So don't hate me for it as these are limited edition items. I'm almost 100% sure everything except one item is still in stock! Sephora still has one more sale this year that I'm looking forward to and trust me, there is definitely more to come!

I have a rule with myself though. Every year I purchase all this makeup starting from end of August, early September and I don't touch it until Christmas. I take pictures of it for all of you and then it goes away and gets wrapped for Christmas. It's more exciting that way cause it becomes a build up of so many sets. Eeeek!

Sephora Lashstash $45
Includes 9 mini mascaras, one full size eyeliner, and an eyelash curler:
Benefit Roller Lash Mascara, Blinc Mascara, Buxom Lash Mascara, Hourglass Cosmetics 1.5MM Mechanical Gel Eye Liner, Marc Jacobs Beauty O!Mega Lash Volumizing Mascara in Blacquer, MAKE UP FOR EVER Mascara in Smoky Extravagant, NARS Cosmetics Audacious Mascara in Black Moon, Tarte best in faux extending fibers, Tarte picture perfect™ eyelash curler, Too Faced Cosmetics Better Than Sex Mascara, Yves Saint Laurent Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils

Sephora Favorites Brow Raising Brow Wardrobe $40
I purchased mine in Light/Medium, but they have the same set for Dark brows as well. This set is really great. The Anastasia products alone make this set worth it in my opinion.

This set includes: Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel, Anastasia Brow Wiz in Taupe, Benefit High Brow Pencil, Kat Von D Tattoo Brow in Blonde, SEPHORA COLLECTION Compact Mirror, SEPHORA COLLECTION Tweezers, Smashbox Cosmetics Brow Tech Gloss Stick in Taupe

LaVanila Starlight Deo Trio $32
I recently started being more conscious about the products I put onto my body and I've been using LaVanila deodorants for about 6 months now and I'll never go back. I was so excited when I saw they had another Deo Trio out as they came out with one in the summer with more summery scents. All 3 are full size deodorants and each of them are normally $14 so you save about $10, almost the price of one full size.

Includes: Deodorant in Vanilla Snowberry, Pure Vanilla, Vanilla Amber

Stila Eternally Yours Liquid Lipstick Set $39 (out of stock)
Unfortunately this set is out of stock but I have a feeling they'll be bringing it back. I personally don't have any Stila Liquid Lipsticks but I've been dying to try Patina and Aria so this set was PERFECT for me. I'm not entirely a fan of Como and Chianti, but the other 4 colors I am dyinnngggg over. And the formula seems great too!

Carmello, Patina, Aria, Como, Chianti, and Fiery

Sephora Favorites Superstars $75
This set seemed a little pricey to me when it first released. I expected it to be $59, but the price tag is $75 and although there are some great products in here, I feel like it's a little expensive. However, if you think about it and break everything down, it does definitely have a great value. Sephora prices the value at $207 so you do save money.

Here's what it includes: Beautyblender® original, Benefit They're Real! Mascara, Clinique Chubby Stick Sculpting Highlight, Lancôme DRAMA LIQUI-PENCIL™ Extreme Longwear Eyeliner in Noir Intense, Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Highlight, MAKE UP FOR EVER Step 1 Skin Equalizer Hydrating Primer / Base step 1 skin equalizer, NARS Dual Intensity Eyeshadow in Himalia, Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water (travel size), Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner in Intense Black, Tarte the sculptor contouring face slenderizer in park ave princess , Tarte The slenderizer bamboo contouring brush, Touch in Sol Stretchex Stretch Lash Effect Mascara , Urban Decay Eye shadow in Lounge

Best Bite Rewind $25
These sets are almost a tradition of mine because I purchased the Bite Beauty Remix which had the same packaging as last year, it just included different shades. But the formula of Bite products are incredible! Absolutely worth it. And although it states "mini", they are definitely big enough to be full size to me. I don't run through lip products all that fast so these will last awhile. I am dying over Café and Torte!

Includes: Café (peachy-brown nude), Torte (brown-toned rose), Coulis (raspberry red), Aubergine (eggplant)

Houglass Ambient Edit Palette Review

The Hourglass Ambient Edit palette released for the holidays for VIB members at Sephora last week and the minute my girl, Bella ( let me know it was available to purchase, I jumped on it so fast! I know there's a huge controversy over this palette because of the size of the pans and let's get real, paying $80 for something itty bitty is not something we were prepared for. When the pictures of the palette first leaked everyone was swooning over it and for good reason. It. Is. Gorgeous! In pictures and in person. So let me address the most asked question about this palette: Is it worth the $80?

First let me lay out the math for you (I personally did not configure these numbers, mainly because I'm horrible at math, but these numbers are from @TrendMood1 and @angelamarytanner)

Hourglass Ambient Edit Palette ($80):  each shade is .049 ounces x 6 shades = .249 ounces
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette ($58): each shade is .116 ounces x 3 shades = .348 ounces
Hourglass Individual Powders ($45-$50): individual powders are .35 ounces

According to this math, the amount of product in the whole palette ($80) is less than the amount in one individual shade ($45)

Here is a picture of the Ambient Edit next to the Ambient Lighting and Ambient Blush palettes for comparison.

Everyone is going to have different opinions when it comes to dropping $80 on a small palette that has 6 shades. Here's my personal opinion on it:

As a makeup collector, I will not be returning it because

1. It's limited edition
2. It's beaaaaaautiful
3. It's a good way to try all 6 products without purchasing them individually and paying an arm and a leg ($275 to be specific)
4. I'll probably never even hit pan on these anyway
5. The quality is still (as always) amazing

To be honest, Hourglass is a pretty pricey brand as a whole in and of itself so it's kind of expected. For example I purchased a travel sized liquid lipstick for $10. I paid $10 and I kid you not, the amount of product I got was smaller than the size of my pinky. I did return that and purchase the full size only because there wasn't much product. But this palette has more than enough product to use frequently.

Did you pick up this palette? What are your thoughts on it?

Such A NARSissist: Review

For those of you that have been keeping up with me the past month, you'll know that NARS is my absolute favorite makeup brand. They can do no wrong in my eyes. I haven't had any of their products until recently and they take the cake for best makeup brand. They are classy, sleek, and have great products! Now, I don't own a TON of things, because like I said I just recently started in the whole makeup world. But trust me, I will soon have the entire Audacious Lipstick collection :)
NARS came out with a blush for their holiday collection called Almeria and it is just the best shade for Fall. It is almost a burgundy color and it is just absolutely gorgeous. The packaging is almost the same as their normal sleek, black except it has fancy glossy black detail over top. It's pigmented and beautiful, what more could you want?

NARS blush in Douceur spoke to me because it is a very neutral looking blush. It's not beige or brown or pink, it's a very distinct color and may very well be one of my favorites. This is not a limited edition, although I've heard talk of them discontinuing, so you might want to get your hands on it soon before they do discontinue it. I'm hoping they won't though!

For the holidays, NARS came out with 3 lipsticks: Deadly Catch, Femme Fleur, and Adriatic. Only two of them spoke to me, so I picked up Deadly Catch (red) and Adriatic (shimmery beige). This also has the same glossy black detail on the packaging that Almeria blush has. I absolutely love the red. I think it is a great holiday color. Adriatic on the other hand I was a little disappointed with and I was afraid this would happen, but when I put it on, it looks like I just have concealer on my lips. Which isn't NARS' fault at all, the color just clashes with my skin tone. The formula and pigmentation in both are amazing.

This was my first purchase from NARS. It is the Virtual Domination palette  I thought it was such a good deal to get a bronzer, 3 blushes, and a highlighter for $65 when one of their blushes/bronzers is $30. When I initially swatched this, they weren't very pigmented but when I went to swatch them again, they were beautiful! (as you can see in the pictures). The packaging on this correlates with the lipsticks and Almeria blush for the holiday collection, except it has white glossy detail instead of black.

MAC Heirloom Holiday Collection

MAC's Heirloom Holiday Collection is now available online as of yesterday at MAC and now Macy's! I believe it will be available on October 23rd in stores. Unfortunately I'll be passing on this gorgeous collection but for those of you that are interested, grab it while it lasts! The packaging is to die for and the colors are perfect! Sparkly white, black, and red with a cameo *gasps* I'm so upset I have to give this collection up :(

Some of my favorites from this collection include the pigments, the individual lipsticks, and the lipstick sets.

The pigments come in a set of 5 they are $35 for the set, the individual lipsticks are $17.50 each and the lip bags range from 39.50-59.50. Personally I think it's a good price for the amount of things you are receiving. For the lip bags you get a lipstick, lip gloss, and lip liner with a gorgeous bag! There's also a lip and eye bag that comes with a lipstick, lip gloss, and a 4 shadow compact.

UGH Someone love me enough to get me this entire collection ! (WAAHHHHHH *Snooki voice*)

Lorac Mega Pro: SOLD OUT!

Hi beauties! I hope you all were stalking the Lorac website like me so you were able to get your hands on the Mega Pro like I was! I noticed it became available around 11:22 AM EST and I quick checked out before I had a heart attack. I had to do a double take because I felt like it was never going to become available. The Mega Pro sold out in less than an hour! WOW!

I also completed my Lorac Royal Lip Lustre collection! One from HSN, one from Lorac, and the last from Ulta! Yay! I'm hoping I love them because I've been hearing some negatives about them (sticky, not long lasting, and not pigmented) so lets hope they're wrong. I'll update you darlings once I have them :) I'll also be selling the duplicates in my collection so if anyone is interested, email me please!
