March/April Favorites

It's been quite some time since I've done a favorites post, but here are the products I've been loving for the last month and a half!

Maybelline Matte Lipstick in Lust For Blush: I picked up the infamous Divine Wine and I decided to try a pink from their matte collection and this is the one I went with. I never saw swatches so when I brought it home and opened the tube I was a bit disappointed and didn't think I would like it on my skin tone. I was pleasantly surprised when I tried it on and I fell in love. It is such a beautiful color and perfect for Spring time.

Bobbi Brown Pink Glow Highlighter: This beauty was a limited edition item (I'm sorry!) but it is just absolutely gorgeous on the skin. I thought I had a bad batch when I received it because as you can see, it's very patchy with pink and white, but I was told it is supposed to be that way. This highlighter literally gives me liffeeeeeee!

Tarte Lights Camera Lashes Mascara: There was a lot of hype about the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara and I wasn't all that impressed with it. I've also heard some hype on this mascara so I was a little hesitant on trying this one. I did really like it, though and it has been my go-to lately, especially for those no-makeup-makeup days.

Boscia Makeup-Breakup Cool Cleansing Oil: I've mentioned this and had a whole review and demo on this baby. It is just the best at removing makeup and it is so gentle. It doesn't tug, burn, or leave any residue. I will definitely be repurchasing this baby one it runs out. I know it looks like it's still full, but that's because it's laying down. I promise it's sadly almost gone lol.

Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzer: This bronzer is perfect for fair skin babes like myself. The original Chocolate Soleil is a bit too dark for me so it can easily look muddy on me, but this one is just beautiful.

Tarte Tartelette Palette: I'm sure you're all tired of hearing about this darn palette. It's pretty much everyone's go-to palette, including my own. I love the matte shades and the neutrals, plus the packaging is adorable!

NYX Buttergloss in Éclair: I'm not big on glosses, but lately on days where I don't wear a full face of makeup, I'll throw this baby on and it gives my lips a little life. It adds just enough color and shine to complete my look.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation in Ecru: You're all probably wondering, if this is one of your favorites, why isn't there and Estee Lauder Double Wear in the picture? Well, there is lol. It's the small little sample sized bottle. I haven't run out of it yet and I've been using it like crazy. So once this baby runs out I'll be picking up a full sized bottle.

Milani Rose Blush in Romantic Rose: Can we just talk about the detail on this blush? Dear lawwwdd. The color is perfect for Spring, but blush can be tricky if it's too pigmented. You don't want to look like you just dipped your brush and packed it on. So a light hand it the trick with this one and you'll end up looking airbrushed.

Jaclyn Hill & Morphe Save The Day!

For all you makeup junkies that were more worried about the Jaclyn Hill palette than New Years, I feel your frustration with how awful the website was (or wasnt't) responding. I personally tried for like 13 hours on and off. I finally got to the checkout and it kept giving me a message that there were no shipping options for my location. Mind you I live in the U.S. so I was frustrated and finally gave up. I tried a day later and the website was still a hot mess. Then they sold out. Who else was bummed out? Well I'm here to tell you, don't be upset any longer.

This is a limited edition palette that has all of Jaclyn Hill favorite shadows by Morphe that is $28 for 28 shadows - that's $1 a shadow! You cant't beat that. Morphe has great prices to begin with; their shadows are normally $2 a piece which is awesome. I personally have not tried any of their products yet, so this palette would have been my first purchase from them.

Jaclyn Hill announced on her YouTube video last night that she deeply apologizes and Morphe got to the bottom of the issue which turned out to be hackers. Due to the craziness that occurred that didn't allow many people to order the palette, they will be restocking in February. Get excited!

2014 Favorites

Can I just write EVERYTHING and be done with it? Haha that wouldn't be much fun for all of you. But seriously. Everything.

Because I just got really into makeup this year, I'm obsessing over everything, but I do absolutely have some favorites. A lot of them are limited edition or holiday collections so I'm sorry if this makes you sad if you can't to get them :(

Favorite overall brand: NARS NARS NARS. Everything from them is just YAAAAAASSS! Such a classy line

Favorite YouTube beauty guru: I actually have 2 because they both have amazing personalities and they're makeup is always flawless - Nicole Guerriero and Jaclyn Hill

Cosmetics

Gerard Cosmetics - Buttercup
This is the perfect everyday color for me. Thank you Jaclyn Hill for that!

Bite Beauty Mix N Mingle Set
I was so happy this came out. I first saw the individual Mix N Mingles for the holidays, but waited a bit and then this baby came out! The set came with 10 lip products (2 glosses, 3 lip crayons, and 5 duos). Seriously, you can't beat it. And the pigmentation is just - UGHmazing.

Chanel Camelia de Plumes Highlighter
Can we say stunning? Dear lawwwd! The product is said to have been inspired by diamonds and feathers and my goodness does it capture the inspiration well. I wish this wasn't limited edition because once it runs out I'll probably cry.

NYX Butter Gloss in Fortune Cookie
The perfect everyday gloss! No other words needed.

Hourglass Veil Primer
Another one with a hefty price tag. I usually just get the mini 0.33 oz for $22 and it lasts a decent amount of time. But this primer is no joke. Your makeup will last forever. Get it, you need it.

L'Oreal Voluminous mascara & UD Perversion
These are my go-to mascaras. I rarely ever use any other ones and when I do, I'm just not as satisfied.

UD Revolution Lipstick
I have never felt a lipstick so creamy that was so pigmented before. I seriously need every single lip color.

NARS Audacious Lipsticks
I don't have any, but I need them all. The packaging, the lipstick bullet, the colors - it's just perfection.

Too Faced Everything Nice Palette
This was a product from their holiday collection and the pigmentation in this palette is just awesome! Plus it comes with a bronzer, two blushes, and a highlighter. PLUS 3 mini brushes. Wow, that's a deal.

NYX Round Lipstick - Thalia
This is usually my go-to lipstick for everyday. I didn't think I would be so excited about this color when I first got it and now I can't put it down.

Bobbi Brown Pink & Bronze Glow
The pink glow suits me a little bit better because I'm pretty fair, but the bronze glow is just AHHH! Again, limited edition products that NEED to be permanent. GR!

Tarte Pin-Up Girl Blush Palette
Apparently they do this every year (from what I gather) and from what I saw from last years, it was really cute. This year I'm happy to say I got my hands on it and it is just adorable. The packaging is so creative how they made it into a little clutch and I love their blushes. Ugh I love!

NARS Blush in Almeria
I didn't think I was going to like this blush very much but OMG let me tell you this is such a great shade for fall. Perfection. NARS you nailed it once again. How do you do it?!

Stila Stay All Day Liquid Liner
This is the only liner I use for a winged look. I haven't found a favorite liner for the bottom lash line yet, but this one takes the cake for creating a wing.

Hair
Mane & Tail Shampoo & Conditioner
Are you tired of me talking about this yet? Lol. I can't help it. This shampoo & conditioner saved my hair! I just love it so much. It's helped with thickness and length so much! I don't think I'll ever switch to another shampoo and conditioner again. Sorry not sorry.

L'Oreal Erasing Balm and Macadamia Deep Repair Masque
These two hair masks are perfect for those with damaged hair or just want smoother, silkier hair. L'Oreal is about $6 and I believe Macadamia is about $18 so L'Oreal is a good alternative if you don't want to pay the price and it works just as well!

Skincare

Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Mask
The smell of this makes you want to eat it (don't, obviously) but it exfoliates and leaves your skin feeling so soft, too. A must have in my opinion. The price is pretty steep for a mask, but well worth it.

African Black Soap
This is my daily cleanser and it's said to help with acne. When I use it daily I definitely see a difference in my skin (when I'm not picking at it). I'll take this $4 bar of soap over any high priced cleanser any day.

Fragrance/Smell Good

Dolce by Dolce & Gabbana
I received a sample size of this and fell in love. Sephora, give me more!

Prada Candy
So many people rave about this that I had to try it myself and I now see why they do. An absolute LOVE for me. I'll definitely be buying a full size one soon!

Bath & Body Works Sweet Pea, Cucumber Melon, Warm Vanilla Sugar
These three have been and forever will be my favorite scents from B&BW. Sweet Pea is like my signature scent.

Fashion

Faux Fur Vest - H&M
I wish it was acceptable to wear something everyday. I would so rock this everyday over sweaters, t-shirts, flannels. It's so frikin cute and fashionable!

Black Blazer from Kohls
Because everyone needs a black blazer in their closet!

Boots Boot and more Boots
Combat boots, knee high boots, booties - these are all necessities in your closet and 2014 was the year that these were all pretty popular.

Favorites Friday: Guest Post

Hi dolls! As you know, I normally do a guest post on Fridays, but today is a little different because I have a guest post. Yayyy! She's going to be taking over my Favorites Frieday and do one of her own, so show this beauty some love!

_____________________________________

Hey everyone!

So, this is my first guest post thanks to BeautyObsessedXO! I wanted to start off with a little introduction before getting into the Friday Favorites. My name is Maryam and I own www.lineupthemakeup.blogspot.com! I'm 18, from the Middle East and I have a passion beauty! I post everything from reviews, hauls, DIYs and lifestyle posts. Okay, so I hope you enjoy this post!

1- Loreal Lumi Magique Foundation: you know when you feel like you just can't find a foundation that suits your skin and all foundations look like you have a layer of paint on your skin? Yeah, I was going through my bad luck foundation phase! Until... I found this amazing foundation thanks to MakeupSocial! I literally had my mouth open when I first applied it because it blended right into my skin and actually made me look like I have normal, dewy skin and not dull, dry skin! Great drugstore foundation for us dry girls!

2- Sephora Jumbo Waterproof Eyeliner in 05 Beige: my eyelids are the complete opposite of my face; they're super oily! So I can never find a base that would stick to my eyes, stay in my inner corner all day and stay in my waterline all day. Well... Guess what? This jumbo eye pencil did all of that! I still need to use a eyelid primer so it doesn't crease on me (but that's just because I have crazy oily lids) but it does make my eye makeup pop 10x more!

3- NYX Butter Lipgloss in Creme Brulee: I know I'm super late to jump on this band wagon but oh my gosh! This lipgloss is incredible! I never thought Creme Brulee would suit my tan complexion, but it actually looks so amazing and makes my lips look really full! Oh, and did I mention its super pigmented and lasts long for a lipgloss? Plus, it's drugstore!

4- Victoria's Secret Angel Body Mist: this body mist is the perfect girly scent for school/university! It's light, sweet and has a hint of sexiness like all Victoria's Secret scents have. I love how long lasting it is and how the scent isn't overpowering. Great daytime scent!

5- MAC Lipstick in Creme in Your Coffee: Such a gorgeous nude shade! It's very similar to Twig by Mac but is lighter and works well with my skin tone. Highly pigmented and super long lasting! What I love about it, is that it doesn't dry out my lips and is also moisturizing and doesn't sit on the fine lines in my lips.

That's it for my post! I hope you liked it and if you did, please check out my blog: www.lineupthemakeup.blogspot.com! I post Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays!

A massive thank you to BeautyObsessedXO for letting me guest post on her blog and allowing me a chance to get my name out in front of her amazing readers!
