Trend Alert!

Many of you may not know, but I love animals! They're so cute and cuddly I could literally take them all home! But I'm not trying to have a zoo in my home. So unfortunately, I do not have any animals of my own, so I'll continue visiting the zoos and aquariums for now lol.

I'm sure you're all wondering what this has to do with fashion and trends. Well, a huge controversy is animal cruelty in both the fashion industry and the makeup world. I am completely against animal cruelty, so please note I will only buy faux fur and I try to be cautious of cruelty free makeup brands as well.

Lately I've been seeing fur vests and I'm sooooo in love with this look. I know this trend has been around for quite a bit, but I've been seeing it more and more lately. The person that really inspired me was of course, Miss Kim Kardashian West. I know these photos are older, but I saw them on Pinterest and immediately started looking for a vest myself.

(I do not own any of these photos)

The bottom picture of her in the maroon-ish brown dress is the one that really caught my eye. DEAR LAWD! All three photos are gorgeous but this fur vest is the style I was particularly interested in. Now looking at it again, the first picture's vest is adorable to! I looked quite a few places to find the style I was looking for, but I finally found it at H&M! It was sold out for quite some time but I luckily checked back yesterday and they had it stocked in my size and now it's already sold out! Thankfully I gabbed it in time. This vest runs for $39.95 USD and if you subscribe to their emails, you get 20% off of your first order. They also have a black one like this and one that kind of looks like raccoon fur.

This vest paired with either a dress, or a long sleeve shirt and jeans is perfect for the fall and winter weather.

Hope you beauties can get your hands on this when it comes back in stock!

Save the animals and go faux!

Wishlist Wednesday

It's that time of the week my darlings! I know I've been posting sooo much about makeup lately but today I'm going to switch it up and focus more on fashion since there are some shoes and clothes I've been eyeing! I swear I was meant to be rich UGH!

Faux Fur Vest
I think these are so cute for Fall and I've been looking everywhere for one. I like this one, but I'm still in search for one I love! You can find this one at Wet Seal

Boots
I'm absolutely obsessed with boots and I've fallen in love with these quilted, burgundy, and rhinestone ones. GIVE ME I NEED! Although a little on the expensive side, I'd say they're well worth it. Black and gold is always in, the burgundy/wine color is a great Fall color, and rhinestones add a girly touch. All three of these can be found at Aldo. Black and Gold Cushion, Burgundy Combats, and Grey Rhinestones

Wedges
I wasn't a fan of wedges for awhile, but about a year ago I got into the trend and I love them and how comfortable they are. These are the perfect Fall wedge to pair with skinny jeans and a cute sweater! One of my co-workers was wearing them and I had to ask where she got them and I was surprised by her answer. These are actually from K-Mart!

Moccasins (since mine are ridiculously worn out)
I wear these so much during the fall. They're so comfortable and pretty inexpensive. I usually get mine at Target for $20, but they're having a sale and they're now $15. I need them in every color! The black ones are from Target and the sand colored ones are from L.L Bean which are a little more expensive. I want the L.L Bean ones in the sand color and in red. Target,  L.L. Bean

Belt
I've been looking for an all gold belt like this, but this is the closest I could get. I see all these people and celebrities wearing rompers and dresses with gold belts that look ADORABLE. I need to add one to my closet to! Eeeeek! This one I found at H&M and it's only like $18! Not bad for a little fashion statement!

Handbags
I saw someone post the black cherry handbag on MakeupSocial last night and I fell in loveeee (sorry for biting, but it's gorgeous!) This is a Rebecca Minkoff handbag that goes for $275. I've never purchased one of their handbags so I'm not sure what the quality is like, but the color is gorgeous. It looks a little dark in the picture, but the image the girl on MakeupSocial posted was amazzzzinngg! The quilted black bag is from Aldo and I think it runs for either $55 or $60 which isn't too bad for a purse. I need a new one soon anyway. My poor Michael Kors one is getting worn out!

Hope you beauties enjoyed my wishlist. What's on yours?! :)

Fall into Fashion

Fall is here! To me, at least. I know there's still about a week until it is officially autumn, but once September hits and the temperature drops, I consider it Fall! That means it's time to start putting away the bathing suits and start breaking out the sweaters, boots, and cardigans. I just put all my Summer clothes away and lugged out the jackets and hoodies this weekend. I didn't really have an exciting summer this year, so I'm sort of looking forward to this Fall season and the fashion that comes along with it :)

So what is Fall fashion? In the fashion world, the styles change every year, but personally I stick to the basics. So here are my must have Fall fashion items:

Combat boots for a grunge look to pair with skinny jeans or leggings

Other boots to keep your feet warm (UGGs, riding boots, rain boots, booties)

Moccasins for easy slip-on fashionable shoes

Oversized sweaters and chunky cardigans to stay warm and look cute

Printed scarves for an accent to set off the outfit with a statement

Pea coats for a sophisticated look

Leather jackets for a day when you're feeling edgy

Fleeces (North Face) because I'm obsessed and they're so warm! My favorite is the Denali.

As far as trendy Fall colors, this Fall is all about the "vampy" dark, deep, rich colors like bugundy, plum, forest green, and navy blue. I'm legit obsessed with the burgundies and plums this fall. To incorporate these Fall colors, you can paint your nails, or wear a dark lipstick. You can also wear a pair of colored jeans in plum, burgundy, navy, or forest green. I personally love colored jeans! Another way to include these colors in your look is to layer with them. Wear a burgundy colored cami underneath a sheer top and throw a cute cardigan over top.

       MAC Sin                                         MAC Cyber

To me, I don't think neutrals will ever go out of style (i.e. nudes/beiges, browns) and neither will black. Black is the new everything! Black is always my go to color. So these colors are a safe bet this Fall. As for the pastels and neon colors, leave those in the summer sun until next year.

Let's Get Wet 'N Wild!

Before I started an account on Makeup Social, I hardly ever wore lipstick! Now I'm seeing all these lip colors and loving them, trying to grab every lip color for myself! The fall trend I've been seeing is the "vampy" look which I'm entirely obsessed with! Dark burgundies, deep plums, rich reds! To die for!

As you saw in my previous post, I picked up MAC's Diva and Rebel which are vampy colors, but the drug store brand Wet N Wild have a few good ones too! I got them at Walgreens I think for $2 each! Now that's a steal. Here are the few I picked up. They're not all vampy because I wanted to pick up some nudes and lighter colors too. The top picture is without the flash, the middle picture is with the flash (I know there's not much of a difference but I figured I'd throw it on here for you to see).

From left to right: Just Peachy, Bare it All, Mauve Outta Here, Mocha-licious, and Cherry Bomb

I also purchased Sugar Plum Fairy which is a rich plum color that I didn't get a chance to swatch above but Sugar Plum Fairy and Cherry Bomb are my absolute favorites for fall!

*DUPE ALERT!* Sugar Plum Fairy and Cherry Bomb are Rebel and Diva dupes :) Below is a picture. The top is with flash, the bottom is without.

Left to right: Cherry Bomb, Diva, Sugar Plum Fairy, Rebel.

Thanks for viewing darlings!
