The Just One Tag

Last week I was tagged in a "Just One" tag by the awesome Beautylymin. This tag is where you have to choose only ONE product in each category which is obviously difficult for every girl because how can you choose JUST ONE?! But, I've somehow managed to narrow mine down. Here goes nothin'!

Facial Cleanser: This is more of a makeup remover, but it is also considered a cleansing oil. It is the Boscia Makeup-Breakup Cool Cleansing Oil. This stuff works wonders at removing your makeup. I actually have a full review/demo on this beauty! I'm seriously running out fast and I need to pick up another one before I do run out.

Lip Gloss: NYX Buttergloss in Éclair has to be my favorite gloss because it adds such a beautiful pink color to my lips. Although it's a little sticky, I still love it, especially for the price!

Eyeshadow single: I don't have too many eyeshadow singles because I literally hoard palettes lol, but I have a handful of Colourpop eyeshadows which are singles and my absolute favorite is Fringe for all over the lid. It is a beautiful metallic cashmere color. I've put a pretty good dent in it so far.
Nail Polish: I've been wearing a ton of different nail polish lately, but I am obsesssseddd with mint green. I have a few mint green nail polishes, but this nail polish is just the perfect mint green. This is Essie's Mint Candy Apple.

Lipstick: This has to be YSL #10 Beige Tribute. It is the perfect pinky-nude. I've used this a few times, but I try to use it sparingly because I don't want to run out! The packaging on this is just on point, too! #allgoldeverything
Blush: I have quite a few blushes and it was hard to choose from, but I narrowed it down to NARS Douceur. The color is hard to describe. It's like a nude, peachy, pink color. I think it gives a beautiful natural look, great for no-makeup-makeup days!

Foundation: I love love love Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation, but I've only tried a sample of it, so I can't really include it in here. So lately I've been loving the Maybelline Fit Me Matte & Poreless. It seriously makes my skin look flawless. Only down side is it will cling to dry patches if you have any so I would just suggest exfoliating like crazy before using this bad boy.

Two items I would buy over and over again: If I ever ran out of my Maybelline Fit Me Concealer or The Balm Marylou-Manizer, I would definitely repurchase them! Two holy grails. Marylou-manizer is a highlighter that just makes your skin POP. Ugh I dieeeee when I use this beauty because it's just so gorgeous on the skin. The Maybelline Fit Me Concealer is a great consistency. It's not too watery and it's not too thick to the point where you can't blend it.
Mascara: This one was sooo hard for me because I really love my L'Oreal Voluminous mascara, but Urban Decay's Perversion just plumps out my lashes to no extent. The brush on this mascara is unlike any other mascara brush I've ever used before. This is a huge YES in my book. And in my personal opinion, better than the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara.

Eyeshadow palette: This is hands down my Lorac Pro Mega (or is it Mega Pro? I can never get it right!) I think Lorac has one of the best eyeshadow palettes. They are pigmented, have beautiful colors, and last long on the eyes. I chose this over my Lorac Pro 1 or Lorac Pro 2 because it has such a variety of shades. I know this was limited edition, so I'm sorry for including it, but I just had to!

Bronzer/Powder: I forgot to photograph my favorite bronzer, but it would have been Too Faced's Milk Chocolate Soleil! It smells amazing and it gives me the perfect bronze for my fair skin.

I tag the following ladies:

And if anyone else is interested, feel free to join in on this tag :)

Now Available: Where The Light Is

Kathleen Lights collaboration with Colourpop is now available on the Colourpop website! It is $20, like all of their quads. These are all neutral colors which suits Kathleen as she loves neutrals. I think she nailed the packaging; I absolutely ADORE it. I just wish the shades would be a little more distinct. I feel like you could get neutrals like these anywhere, but because they're by Kathleen Lights, I might make an exception. I wish they wouldve done the actual pans a goldish color, too, instead of the white. Like it, love it, need it, hate it?

Mini Haul

I've sadly been on a "no-buy" for quite some time. Unless I run out of something or find a REALLY good sale, I've been passing on A LOT of amazing makeup and it's been killing me inside lol. About a week ago, I was informed that Colourpop had a sale on their Minx Society eyeshadow quad. Instead of it being $20 it was FREE. Yes, free! The only thing I paid for was shipping which was $5. The sale was only up for a very short amount of time and I'm not sure whether it was a glitch in their system or just a flash sale that wasn't announced, but I'm extremely glad I was told about it! I already have 6 of Colourpop eyeshadows and a full review on them here if you're interested. Sadly I don't have any of their lippie stix or blushes yet but I have a whole wish list of them soon to come.

They always put a cute and witty hand written note in the package which I love because it's so personal.

This is what the outside packaging of the quad looks like. It has a very faint outline of NYC which is beautiful, yet simple detail.

This is what the quad box looks like when you open it. It looks like it could be a palette, but when you open the box it is four individual pans.

From left to right: Girly, On The Rocks, Get Lucky, and Roulette

The cap is sleek and white with a clear center so you are able to see the color. It also has the logo that is almost holographic.

Girly is described as "a creamy vanilla with a flash of pink and duo chrome finish"

On The Rocks is described as "vibrant, true bronze with gold and violet glitter"

Get Lucky is described as "intense ultra-metallic, liquid-like true gold". I have this shade already, but on New Years Eve it fell off of my vanity and smashed. I was able to smash it back together, though because of the texture of these shadows. But having a new one is great!

Roulette is described as a "true matte black". This is the first matte shade I own from them so I'm anxious to see how well it applies to the eyes.

I will be posting swatches a little bit later :)

I also picked up some nail polish because I needed more Spring colors. I typically get mine from Five Below, but only the Fresh Paint nail polish. The formula is so opaque and they always have beautiful colors. On top of that, they are 3 for $5! Can't beat that price.

From left to right: Glass Slipper, Passion Fruit, In The Flash, and Hakuna Matata

Colourpop: Where The Light Is

Kathleen Lights has finally released a sneak peek of her collaboration with Colourpop! It releases on April 9th. I love how beautiful the packaging is! I wish she would have came out with more unique colors. I feel like these are pretty basic neutrals that you can get pretty much anywhere.

Colourpop is having a flash sale on their eyeshadow quads. They are 20% off and the sale lasts until tomorrow morning 9 AM PST. I am loving the Rebound quad for Spring. It looks like it has the perfect Spring colors.

Kathleen Lights Collaboration with Colourpop

Kathleen Lights has collaborated with Colourpop in the past on her infamous lippie stix in Lumiere, but she is also coming out with an eyeshadow quad with Colourpop. She has finally posted swatches, but still no sneak peeks of the packaging or the actual eyeshadow pots, but she said more information will be released April 9th so stay tuned! She said the colors are very warm which was to be expected because as she stated in her caption, it's "very her". What are your thoughts on these colors? Like em, love em, hate em?

"Colourpop Hops Into Spring"

Colourpop is definitely ready for Spring! They are saying so long to the cold winter and welcoming Spring with open arms. I think we're all pretty much ready for the beautiful summer shades. So what does Colourpop have for us? They came out with new lippie stix and lippie pencils along with 27 new pastel eyeshadows for Spring! But that's not all, I also spot 3 new SuperShock blushes! Um, I'll take one of everything please.

New on the Scene

There are some new products that are now available or soon to be available that I can't wait to share with all of you!

Colour Pop Blushes

"Did you say blushes?" Yes and lots of them! I first discovered Colour Pop when they solely sold eyeshadows. Then they came out with their lippie stix and lippie pencils to match and now they're coming out with blush! Whaattt! Look how gorgeous those colors are! There is no definite date yet. Their Instagram just said they'll be releasing in a few weeks and there was a hashtag that said "#Not5Dollars" so the only thing to assume by that hashtag is they aren't $5 like all of their other products. The bright side to that, though, is they are bigger than their eyeshadows.

Sigma Spa Brush Mat

I know many of you that went to IMATS LA were already able to get your hands on this baby before it even released to the public online, but it's finally available for everyone to purchase now. The retail price is $32 and I've watched a few reviews and demos on it and I'm impressed. This is definitely on my "to get" list.

Melt Cosmetics Dark Room

This baby released a few months ago for a limited time and we all thought that was the end of it. Thankfully for all you beauties that didn't have a chance to get your hands on it before, now's your chance! It's back for good and it retails for $19 like the rest of Melt lipsticks. This is a pretty color and I'd say a dupe for MAC's Rebel.

Pop of Color: Colour Pop Review

Yesterday I received my order from Colour Pop and I am in loovvee! The colors are so bright and pigmented, it's unreal! I must say the packaging was a bit much, but it's good to know they want to protect their product so that it comes in tact for you. It was a huge box with a smaller box inside that was wrapped in paper. Then each eyeshadow was individually bubble wrapped. It's good that they're thinking about the product but I was so excited to open the shadows and it took me forever to get to them! I suppose that's a good problem to have, though.

The shipping time was incredible too! I order these babies on Thursday and by Monday I had them in my posession! That means it only took TWO business days because of the weekend. Best timing ever because I get so anxious when I order something, so it was really great to have a fast delivery.

It came with a little hand written postcard with my name on it! How cute is that?! Definitely made it a personal experience that not many other companies do. Their reference to "our bestest betch" is because one of their products is named Bestest Betch, which is a quad. On the back of the post card there are some tips and tricks to using their products to get the most out of them. You can see this below.

The colors I purchased are mainly neutrals because  I'm boring like that, haha! But I did try to venture out and went with a deep purple for fall and also a coral color just because it was really pretty.

Named from Left to right, starting with the top row is Lace, a royal, deep purple.
Fringe, a light beige-ish gold.
Cheeky, a beautiful coral color that reminds me of spring and summer.
3, a dark brown color, a great color for fall.
Tassel, the perfect shimmery white.
And last, Get Lucky, which is a gold, metal tone.

All of their eyeshadows are only $5.00 and they have free shipping on orders $30.00 or more. I don't know about you, but free shipping always hooks me. I cannot wait to buy more of these beautiful shadows. I really enjoyed my experience with this company and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for shimmery shadows! I'm hoping they start to come out with a matte line soon.

I will be posting swatches later so you can get a better idea of what these lovely shadows look like when on skin. In the meantime, go check out their website at www.colourpop.com! You can also find them on Instagram @colourpopcosmetics

Thanks for viewing!
