Boscia Exfoliating Peel Gel Review

Hello beauties and welcome back! For those of you that have been following me for quite some time, you know that I've worked with Boscia in the past and I have a new skin care goody to review for all of you! It's one of their newer products on the market. It is available at Sephora for $34 but you get 5 fluid oz which is an amazing deal. You can see in the image how much I've used which isn't even a third of the product and I've been using it for TWO WEEKS!

Let's talk packaging. I absolutely love this packaging. It is the exact same as their Breakup Makeup Cool Cleansing Oil which all of you know is my holy grail. But the packaging is just so sleek and it makes the product extremely accessible. I prefer this over the squeeze tubes that most companies have. The box itself is so detailed with the little droplets that are actually raised so the box has a neat texture to it. I really appreciate when companies take the time to add the small details.

The product itself is soooo different than any other exfoliator I've tried in the past. The directions tell you to apply to a clean, dry face which was different because normally you apply to a damp face. The consistency of the product is a gel-like substance (as stated in the name of the product) so you think it's not really doing anything to your skin because the gel is so smoot and doesn't have any sugars or beads in it. BUT once you rinse, you start to feel the gel almost form beads of its own which is where you get the exfoliation from. It is the coolest exfoliator I've ever used and it works wonders. It made my skin smoother and more radiant by getting rid of dead skin and flakes. I am a huge fan of Boscia's entire line because their products are amazing so if you've had your eye on this, I definitely suggest picking it up.

The Just One Tag

Last week I was tagged in a "Just One" tag by the awesome Beautylymin. This tag is where you have to choose only ONE product in each category which is obviously difficult for every girl because how can you choose JUST ONE?! But, I've somehow managed to narrow mine down. Here goes nothin'!

Facial Cleanser: This is more of a makeup remover, but it is also considered a cleansing oil. It is the Boscia Makeup-Breakup Cool Cleansing Oil. This stuff works wonders at removing your makeup. I actually have a full review/demo on this beauty! I'm seriously running out fast and I need to pick up another one before I do run out.
Lip Gloss: NYX Buttergloss in Éclair has to be my favorite gloss because it adds such a beautiful pink color to my lips. Although it's a little sticky, I still love it, especially for the price!
Eyeshadow single: I don't have too many eyeshadow singles because I literally hoard palettes lol, but I have a handful of Colourpop eyeshadows which are singles and my absolute favorite is Fringe for all over the lid. It is a beautiful metallic cashmere color. I've put a pretty good dent in it so far.
Nail Polish: I've been wearing a ton of different nail polish lately, but I am obsesssseddd with mint green. I have a few mint green nail polishes, but this nail polish is just the perfect mint green. This is Essie's Mint Candy Apple.

Lipstick: This has to be YSL #10 Beige Tribute. It is the perfect pinky-nude. I've used this a few times, but I try to use it sparingly because I don't want to run out! The packaging on this is just on point, too! #allgoldeverything
Blush: I have quite a few blushes and it was hard to choose from, but I narrowed it down to NARS Douceur. The color is hard to describe. It's like a nude, peachy, pink color. I think it gives a beautiful natural look, great for no-makeup-makeup days!
Foundation: I love love love Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation, but I've only tried a sample of it, so I can't really include it in here. So lately I've been loving the Maybelline Fit Me Matte & Poreless. It seriously makes my skin look flawless. Only down side is it will cling to dry patches if you have any so I would just suggest exfoliating like crazy before using this bad boy.

Two items I would buy over and over again: If I ever ran out of my Maybelline Fit Me Concealer or The Balm Marylou-Manizer, I would definitely repurchase them! Two holy grails. Marylou-manizer is a highlighter that just makes your skin POP. Ugh I dieeeee when I use this beauty because it's just so gorgeous on the skin. The Maybelline Fit Me Concealer is a great consistency. It's not too watery and it's not too thick to the point where you can't blend it.
Mascara: This one was sooo hard for me because I really love my L'Oreal Voluminous mascara, but Urban Decay's Perversion just plumps out my lashes to no extent. The brush on this mascara is unlike any other mascara brush I've ever used before. This is a huge YES in my book. And in my personal opinion, better than the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara.
Eyeshadow palette: This is hands down my Lorac Pro Mega (or is it Mega Pro? I can never get it right!) I think Lorac has one of the best eyeshadow palettes. They are pigmented, have beautiful colors, and last long on the eyes. I chose this over my Lorac Pro 1 or Lorac Pro 2 because it has such a variety of shades. I know this was limited edition, so I'm sorry for including it, but I just had to!
Bronzer/Powder: I forgot to photograph my favorite bronzer, but it would have been Too Faced's Milk Chocolate Soleil! It smells amazing and it gives me the perfect bronze for my fair skin.
I tag the following ladies:
And if anyone else is interested, feel free to join in on this tag :)

March/April Favorites

It's been quite some time since I've done a favorites post, but here are the products I've been loving for the last month and a half!
Maybelline Matte Lipstick in Lust For Blush: I picked up the infamous Divine Wine and I decided to try a pink from their matte collection and this is the one I went with. I never saw swatches so when I brought it home and opened the tube I was a bit disappointed and didn't think I would like it on my skin tone. I was pleasantly surprised when I tried it on and I fell in love. It is such a beautiful color and perfect for Spring time.
Bobbi Brown Pink Glow Highlighter: This beauty was a limited edition item (I'm sorry!) but it is just absolutely gorgeous on the skin. I thought I had a bad batch when I received it because as you can see, it's very patchy with pink and white, but I was told it is supposed to be that way. This highlighter literally gives me liffeeeeeee!
Tarte Lights Camera Lashes Mascara: There was a lot of hype about the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara and I wasn't all that impressed with it. I've also heard some hype on this mascara so I was a little hesitant on trying this one. I did really like it, though and it has been my go-to lately, especially for those no-makeup-makeup days.
Boscia Makeup-Breakup Cool Cleansing Oil: I've mentioned this and had a whole review and demo on this baby. It is just the best at removing makeup and it is so gentle. It doesn't tug, burn, or leave any residue. I will definitely be repurchasing this baby one it runs out. I know it looks like it's still full, but that's because it's laying down. I promise it's sadly almost gone lol.
Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzer: This bronzer is perfect for fair skin babes like myself. The original Chocolate Soleil is a bit too dark for me so it can easily look muddy on me, but this one is just beautiful.
Tarte Tartelette Palette: I'm sure you're all tired of hearing about this darn palette. It's pretty much everyone's go-to palette, including my own. I love the matte shades and the neutrals, plus the packaging is adorable!
NYX Buttergloss in Éclair: I'm not big on glosses, but lately on days where I don't wear a full face of makeup, I'll throw this baby on and it gives my lips a little life. It adds just enough color and shine to complete my look.
Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation in Ecru: You're all probably wondering, if this is one of your favorites, why isn't there and Estee Lauder Double Wear in the picture? Well, there is lol. It's the small little sample sized bottle. I haven't run out of it yet and I've been using it like crazy. So once this baby runs out I'll be picking up a full sized bottle.
Milani Rose Blush in Romantic Rose: Can we just talk about the detail on this blush? Dear lawwwdd. The color is perfect for Spring, but blush can be tricky if it's too pigmented. You don't want to look like you just dipped your brush and packed it on. So a light hand it the trick with this one and you'll end up looking airbrushed.

Boscia MakeUp-BreakUp Cool Cleansing Oil Demo

Last week I posted a review on some Boscia products and I promised I would post a demo of the MakeUp-BreakUp Cleansing Oil that I loved so much. So here it is!

First, here's a picture of what the packaging looks like. It's in a very sleek white bottle with a pump, thank goodness!

Now let's get started. You'll want to put about 1-2 pumps in your hand - you won't need much more than that because a little bit goes a LONG way. The texture of this product is an oily consistency, but thicker than your typical vegetable oil or cooking oils.
Next, apply the oil on top of the makeup you want to remove. It is important to apply it to dry skin, directly on top of the makeup without water. In the picture I have 5 lip products ranging from lipstick, lip creams, and lip liners of all different colors to show even the darkest colors will be removed.

Then, gently rub the oil into the skin, moving the product all over the area you want to remove the makeup from. You won't need to tug or pull at your skin because this oil is so amazing at breaking down the makeup.

Here is what the result of rubbing the oil on top of the lipstick looks like. Don't worry - it won't stay this way and it won't stain your skin haha!

Lastly, rinse with warm water to rinse away the makeup and any oily residue.
Here is the final result of removing 5 lip products from my arm. Incredible, right?! Go get you some!

Boscia Skincare

Hopefully by now you all know that I always want to be 100% honest with you so I just want to first give a short disclaimer and let all of you know that Boscia was kind enough to send me these products. They are full size and they are pretty pricey too, so thank you so much Boscia for your generosity! It's been a pleasure working with you and I hope to continue working together.

I have briefly mentioned this brand in previous posts such as my Christmas Gift Haul and a short review on their Little Black Book bundle that I got during the holidays.

So here's what goodies Boscia sent:

Makeup-BreakUp Cool Cleansing Oil $28 5 fl. oz.
Restorative Day Moisture Cream $48 1 fl. oz.

Konjac Cleansing Sponge $15 (reusable)

Let's talk packaging. It's so fresh looking and just has such pretty detail! I love the colors they chose for their packaging. They have other products that have a pink, blue, green, and then black and white packaging as well. Their packaging is very sleek, clean, and modern looking. Next, I just want to mention that all of these products have amazing ingredients which is probably the main reason their products a little more pricey than most, but I'm all for purchasing for quality rather than for quantity. Some of the ingredients include Natural Konjac Root Fiber, Green Clay, Olive Oil, Jojoba Oil, and Avocado Oil to name a few.

Now to get into the good stuff - the review. On the left is the MakeUp-BreakUp Cool Cleansing Oil which actually won an award from what Boscia's website shows. Honestly, I can see why this won an award. This was by far my favorite product they sent. I'm half way finished with it and it's only been 3 weeks. You only need a very small amount which is why I still have so much left but I will absolutely continue purchasing this product once this runs out. So what exactly is this used for? This is a makeup remover and face cleanser. It is an oil, which I thought I was going to hate because I have oily/combo skin, but it doesn't leave your skin feeling oily AT . ALL ! To use this, apply it to a DRY face, directly on top of your makeup and just work your hands in gentle circular motions. This product claims to not "tug or pull" at the skin and it couldn't be more accurate. Love this stuff and I recommend it to people with all skin types! I use this every single day when I get home from work to remove my makeup. I will be doing another post demonstrating how this product works for those of you that are curious.
On the right is the Restorative Day Moisture Cream which oddly doesn't seem to be on their website anymore, but I remember looking at it online when I received it and the price was a steep $48! Unfortunately for me, I have oily/combo skin and this moisturizer was for dry skin so as you can guess I didn't really gravitate towards this. I did try it for awhile, but it ended up breaking me out. I would recommend this for people with dry skin, though. It's a little pricey, but you get your money's worth. It's 1 fl. oz. but a little bit goes a long way, so this will also last quite some time which balances out the price. It's a lotion consistency and it does feel a tad bit greasy when applying but once you let it absorb into the skin, the greasiness goes away.

Their Konjac Cleansing Sponge retails for $15 and when I first felt it, it felt like Styrofoam which is so weird. I thought to myself, "Really, I'm supposed to use this on my face?" Haha BUT, once you run it under warm water it becomes an amazingly soft sponge and I wish I could, but I just can't describe the texture. You can use this in the shower with your daily cleanser. Just rinse the Konjac Sponge under warm water, put your cleanser on it and massage the sponge in circular motions on your skin. This product is for all skin types, but they do have other sponges specified for certain skin types! This one gently exfoliates and really clears out the impurities. It's not rough on the skin at all like I initially thought. The best part is you can use the same sponge for 2-3 months before replacing it! This has also won an award and I can definitely see why.
Overall, I give Boscia an A+ in the quality of their products. Even though one of them didn't work out for my skin type, I know it would be great for others. Their customer service is phenomenal as well, they are quick to respond and so, so sweet!
Again, thank you so much for everything, Boscia, and keep up the amazing work!

March 2015 Wishlist

I feel like I keep forgetting to do a monthly wishlist for all of you! I feel like it's been awhile, so here it is! Forewarning: pretty much of these products were put on my wishlist thanks to YouTube beauty gurus, just a heads up! Also, all of these products can be found at Sephora.
NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation $48
If you're new here and don't know my obsession with NARS, get with the program darling because this brand is everything! This new foundation they came out with looks amazing and I'm in the market for a new foundation. So what do you say, NARS, will you be mine? The price is a little cray, but I'm sure it's well worth it.
Benefit Roller Lash $24
Most of you know I'm typically not a fan of Benefit products, but I have been seeing tons of reviews on this and they're all surprisingly extremely good reviews. I sort of want to see what all the hype is about and give Benefit one more chance. What do you think?!
Too Faced HangoveRx $32
Nicole Guerierro, who is amazing, swears by this primer and I actually meant to pick it up in my last mini haul, but completely forgot to grab it, so this baby is definitely on my wishlist!

Too Faced Selfie Powders $36
Okay, okay, don't judge me or anything lol. I know these seem extremely gimmicky but Rositaapplebum said she loves this product and her and I are like BFFs, she just doesn't know it yet lol. I feel like the concept is there, but is it actually a good product? I just really want to try it for myself to see. Plus Rositaapplebum is bomb dot com.
Becca Skin Perfector in Copper $Gold 38
This packaging is EVERYTHING and the product itself looks beautiful. It might be a little too dark for me now, but I think with my Summer tan it would be beautiful. I think this would look gorgeous on olive to deep skin tones. This product is limited edition so for those of you thinking about getting it, I suggest you grab it while you still can.

Makeup Forever Sculpting Duo $39
This is yet another product that has been raved about by the beauty gurus that I am dying to get my hands on. I actually wasn't that impressed when I first saw it launch, but after I saw swatches I immediately fell in love. This shade would be great on medium to deep skin tones.

Too Faced Cocoa Powders $40
I love that this kit comes with a brush and I feel like these colors would work well with my skin tone. I reaaaalllyy want the Kat Von D Shade & Light contour palette, but I already mentioned that in another wishlist of mine and I really like the Too Faced one as well.

Laura Mercier Face Illuminator Powder $42
Die, die, die. I literally died a million times when I saw this beaut. Dear freaking lawwwddd. No words, just no words. The gorgeous-ness speaks for itself.

Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipsticks $22 each (Patina, Bellissima, and Aria)
These three shades are just so beautiful and of course the three that are usually sold out so if you see any of these beauties, grab them, grab them all! Apparently Sephora has a liquid lipstick that is a dupe for Patina in #13.
What's on YOUR wishlist?!

Skin Deep: Skincare Products Review

I wasn't really that into skin care up until this year. I guess since I'm getting older I'm starting to realize that taking care of your skin is important. I never really invested in anything for my skin other than a daily face wash. Now I'm skin care crazy! Here are some of my recent skin care products.

Peter Thomas Roth - Skinstant Mask
I had never heard of this brand until I started using Makeup Social. A girl had posted a picture of these before they re-released the set and I looked everywhere and couldn't find it! Thankfully, Sephora brought the set back for the holidays and hopefully to stay! This set is 3 face masks that are all 1.7 oz (a full size is 5 oz) There is a cucumber, a rose stem, and a pumpkin. Out of the three, the pumpkin is my absolute favorite! It exfoliates and leaves you skin feeling so soft plus it smells AMAZING to the point where you almost want to eat it - but don't. This set costs $45 which isn't bad especially if you just want to try them. Just for one full size mask is $45 for the cucumber and rose stem. The pumpkin one I believe is $58. I'm almost positive they have a smaller set that is like 0.5 oz and it comes with all three but it is only $20. So if you can't see yourself spending the $45, go for the $20 one; either way, I highly recommend this set!

GlamGlow Gift Sexy
Okay, who here has not heard of GlamGlow yet? Let me put you on to an amazing skin care line! I got the GlamGlow Gift Sexy set for Christmas which included the two in the picture (black - youthmud, blue - thirstymud) and also the white one called supermud but I used that one already. The price might shock you, but just for ONE 1.7 oz jar, it is $69. YIKES! I heard so much hype over these things that I had to try them myself, but $69 for ONE?! Thankfully, I didn't have to pay full price for just one. They came out with this gift set (1 full size 1.7 oz and 2 mini 0.5 oz) so I think that made it well worth it. Needless to say, my favorite is the white jar. It cleans out my pores so well and leaves my skin feeling renewed. I also like the black one and how tingly it makes my skin feel. I haven't had a chance to try the blue one just yet. I know the price is pretty outrageous, but to give you a little bit of background; this line was created for the movie stars (hence the star symbol and the Hollywood written across). But it was meant to help treat breakouts immediately for the movie stars. I think this is more of a luxury item than anything but I would say it's something to try at least once! I really like the product so I think I'll continue purchasing the white one. They also have a green one called powermud that I'm anxious to try and a new every day cleanser that I cant't wait to try as well.
Peter Thomas Roth 24K Gold Set
Here is another Peter Thomas Roth product. This was a set that cost $85 - excuse me? Did you just say $85? Yes...Eeek. The price is ridiculous, but the mask ALONE costs $85. With this set, you get 5 other PTR items that probably would have ran your bill up to about $200. I personally have not tried any of these products yet, but it includes the 24k Gold Mask, Un-wrinkle Turbo, FirmX Peeling Mask, Anti-Aging Cleansing Gel, Instant FirmX Eye, and Camu Camu Powder. I'm anxious to try them all!

 Boscia Little Black Book
This is also a first time brand purchase. This is the first thing I own from Boscia. I thought the name was adorable "Little Black Book". I can't exactly remember how much this was, but I don't believe it was too expensive. It comes with 4 different products: Detoxifying Black Cleanser, Luminizing Black Mask, Revitalizing Black Hydration Gel, and No Pores No Shine T-Zone Treatment. I've only tried the cleanser so far and I already love it. I think it is going to become my new daily cleanser of 2015.

Top Ten Tuesday

It's ONLY Tuesday. As much as I hate to say that, at least it's TOP TEN TUESDAY! Today is going to be a top ten from products I'm purchasing from Sephora with my 20% off coupon code (unfortunately the codes cannot be used more than once or else I'd share with you darlings!)

1. Tarte Bon Voyage
I've heard so many good things about this set and who could beat all of this for $59? The colors in the palette are mostly neutral which are my go-to's but there are other, darker colors in there if you're more adventurous!

2. Glamglow Gift Sexy
Okay, let's put this into perspective. ONE full size (1.2 oz) container runs you to about $69 at the cashier plus tax. This set contains 1 full size and two 0.05 oz containers for the same price! And if you feel like that isn't saving much, let me just say the 0.05 oz are about $20 each, so you're saving about $40 bucks, getting 3 items instead of 1 and you get to try 3 of their masks. Hallelujah!

3. Too Faced La Belle Carousel
I think the packaging on this is SUPER cute and I can't get enough of it. It comes with a mini mascara, has eye shadows, bronzer, and blush! What more could you ask for?

4. Peter Thomas Roth 21st Birthday Kit
I've heard PTR is great with their skin care products and I've been really into skin care lately so I figured this would be a good set to try. I haven't heard anything about these specific products, but I guess I'll find out!

5. Makeup Forever HD Complexion Starter Kit
I've been really wanting to try some MUFE products so here's the perfect little kit to get started :)

6. Boscia Little Black Book
More skin care stuff... LOL. But I've seen the black Boscia mask used on a lot of people so I figured, why not?

7. Stila Stay All Day Liquid Liner in Black
Because my travel size one dried out (waahhhh) My absolute FAV eyeliner!

8. NARS Virtual Domination Cheek Palette
When I first saw this palette my eyes we automatically drawn to it. I don't have anything NARS so this will be my first product from them and I'm so excited it'll be this!

9. Bobbi Brown Bronze Glow
Oh. My. Heavens! Can we say gorgeous? This is another product line I don't have anything from and I've heard so much hype about this beauty so I'm excited to say this will be my first Bobbi Brown product.

10. Peter Thomas Roth 24K Gold Mask Magic Kit
Because it's 24K gold, why else?!

BONUS: I reached VIB!

Hope you lovelies enjoyed. What did YOU get with your 20% off?!
