L'Oreal Cushion Foundation Review

I must say contouring and highlighting was all the rave in 2015, but the start of 2016 everyone is talking about cushion foundations. Lately one in particular that I've seen all around social media. L'Oreal came out with their own cushion foundation and everyone wants to know if it's worth the $14 price tag.

Now I personally feel like drugstore prices keep continuing to climb but what's the point of calling them "drugstore" when they're basically the price of high end? Now I'm now saying it's Giorgio Armani at the $62 price tag; however, I remember when foundations at the drugstore were like $8. There are still some out there that are, don't get me wrong, but a lot of the new foundations that have come out are $11 plus. So do I think it's worth the $14? I'll let you know...

For starters, I got mine the the shade N2. I always suck at picking out foundations at the drugstore because there aren't any testers. Is anyone with me on that? Like I legitimately fail at life when it comes to color matching at the drugstore lol. So drugstores, if you're reading: get testers for the beauty aisle please and thank you! But thankfully this color matched me pretty well considering I'm pretty pale during the winter.

I will say that L'Oreal came out  with a decent amount of shades to choose from which is always great for fair and deep skin tones. Another thing I really like about L'Oreal foundations is they typically have W, N, C. If you aren't familiar with what those letters stand for it stands for your skin undertone. If you are warm toned (typically more yellow-based) you would go for W (warm). If you have neutral undertones you'd go for N (neutral). And if you are cool toned (more blue-based undertones) you would go for C (cool).

The product itself I would say is a medium to buildable coverage. There was only some redness that peeked through and wasnt covered but the foundation itself looks SO natural, literally like skin. It has a beautiful luminosity to it where there's no glitter or shimmer but it just looks like your skin is glowing. I love this as an everyday foundation because of how natural it looks and the coverage is just right. I used this with a damp BeautyBlender (I never use the sponges that come with products) and it applied evenly for me. Would I purchase it again? Honestly, yes; however, I won't be purchasing at full price as I think the price is a bit much for drugstore. Luckily I got a coupon for $4 off in the mail which would make it $10. So I'm going to purchase a backup of this bad boy because since I got it, I've been using it every day. I give this foundation a thumbs up.

Mini Drugstore Haul

So I started to run out of a few of my essential beauty products that I use quite often so I made a quick Walmart run to pick up a few things.

I restocked on the Loreal Total Repair Damage Erasing Balm, the Hair Skin and Nails gummies and the Simple Micellar Makeup Removing Wipes. The new thing I picked up is the Loreal Lumi Cushion foudation and let me tell you I am sooo excited to test this foundation out. I will be wearing it all this week and updating you with a review on Saturday! So stay tuned for that because I've been seeing this everywhere lately so I'm sure a lot of people want to know whether it's worth the hype. Let me know what questions you have about it so I can answer them in my review :)

Announcement! I Said Yes

Happy New Year to all of my amazing followers! I hope you all had a great holiday.

Because I consider all of you to be more like my friends, I wanted to share the news with all of you. Most of you have probably seen my posts on Instagram or Facebook, but for those of you that havent...

For those of you that don't know much about my personal life (I tend to keep a lot of it private) but my now fiancè and I have been together for a little over 4 and a half years and I was NOT expecting it. I was beyond surprised and excited. He proposed on New Years Eve into New Years Day around 1 AM in front of hundreds of people under a beautiful crown that was lit up. His family and our friends were there. My family was in another state and my parents were asleep (they can't hang lol). But I definitely cried happy tears! (I'm sorry for the awful quality pictures. That's the only thing I wish he would have done different is to get a photographer to catch the moment)

He did everything the traditional way which I am very thankful for. He asked for my parents blessing, he got down on one knee, and he nervously asked if I would marry him.

After the engagement we celebrated and talked about it and hearing his mom tell me that he told her he knew it was time just melted my heart. She said he asked her, "Remember when you told me I would just know? Well, I know"

I missed all of the signs completely. His family kept trying to take me to get my nails done but I kept saying I would just get a pedicure and eventually they talked me into getting my nails done. Then apparently they kept saying, "This is it" and that went over my head as well. I had no clue. So that's how I started my new year and I couldnt have been happier! I knew it was going to be a great year and spectacular things would happen, I just didnt know they'd start happening so soon.

So thank you to the love of my life for making me the happiest woman.
