Boscia Exfoliating Peel Gel Review

Hello beauties and welcome back! For those of you that have been following me for quite some time, you know that I've worked with Boscia in the past and I have a new skin care goody to review for all of you! It's one of their newer products on the market. It is available at Sephora for $34 but you get 5 fluid oz which is an amazing deal. You can see in the image how much I've used which isn't even a third of the product and I've been using it for TWO WEEKS!

Let's talk packaging. I absolutely love this packaging. It is the exact same as their Breakup Makeup Cool Cleansing Oil which all of you know is my holy grail. But the packaging is just so sleek and it makes the product extremely accessible. I prefer this over the squeeze tubes that most companies have. The box itself is so detailed with the little droplets that are actually raised so the box has a neat texture to it. I really appreciate when companies take the time to add the small details.

The product itself is soooo different than any other exfoliator I've tried in the past. The directions tell you to apply to a clean, dry face which was different because normally you apply to a damp face. The consistency of the product is a gel-like substance (as stated in the name of the product) so you think it's not really doing anything to your skin because the gel is so smoot and doesn't have any sugars or beads in it. BUT once you rinse, you start to feel the gel almost form beads of its own which is where you get the exfoliation from. It is the coolest exfoliator I've ever used and it works wonders. It made my skin smoother and more radiant by getting rid of dead skin and flakes. I am a huge fan of Boscia's entire line because their products are amazing so if you've had your eye on this, I definitely suggest picking it up.

Empties!

I've been hoarding these empties for like 2-3 months now and I am finally sharing them with you! For those of you that don't understand what this post is about and are thinking, "Why would she post pictures of her empty products?" Basically it's just to let you all know what products I've used up and whether or not I would re-purchase them! But just to give you a heads up, these are pretty much all products I would repurchase because I don't usually tend to use things up I don't like. So let's diiiiiveeee in (Trey Songz voice lol).

Hard Candy Glamoflauge Concealer
This is something I have already re-purchased right before I ran out because I love it so much. It is the most full coverage concealer EVER! If you're looking for a concealer to cover up tattoos, this is it. This covera my blemishes SO well and it's only like $6 at Walmart!

Bath and Body Works Endless Weekend Body Wash
I love this scent. I took this travel size with me on a trip and loved it. I actually got it for free and if it's free, it's for me! But it's only $5 for this travel size and lasts a decent amount of time. If you take it on vacation with you, this 3 oz bottle should last you about 2 weeks. I would definitely re-purchase.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Medium Brown
This is a staple, a holy grail in my makeup routine. I had to pick up a back up before this even ran out. Now that I'm blonde I really need to pick up a lighter shade but regardless this product is BOMB.

Shea Moisture African Black Soap
This is great for acne prone skin, although it can dry your skin out pretty quickly if you're not careful. But this is pretty much the only thing that I've found that helps with healing my skin. I'm already on my second bar of this. This line had a ton of products for problematic skin that I still want to test out.

Mositure Weightless Moisture
This was actually sent to me for PR and I legit went through this SO quickly. It came in handy for me because after I dyed my hair blonde, it's been really hard to comb out when I get out of the shower so this made it so much easier and made my hair softer. This will be a definite re-purchase for me.

Freeman Beauty Charcoal and Black Sugar Mask
Sorry for the crazy looking packaging haha but I love Freeman Beauty products. They're inexpensive and effective. I believe this was $3 for this big tube! I used this as an exfoliant before using my cleanser. If I would recommend anything from Freeman it would be this. But for people who have sensitive skin, you may not like this because it is a little rough but it really gets deep into the pores.

Boscia Makeup Breakup Cool Cleansing Oil
Sooo don't judge me, but I lost the cap to this lol. But this was another product that was sent to me for PR but lordddddd do I love Boscia for sending this. If they hadn't I don't know if I ever would have tried it and I would've been missing out big time! This works wonders taking your makeup off. It's gentle, doesn't tug or pull at your skin, didn't break me out, removes eye makeup easily. I haven't had a chance to pick this baby up again but I absolutely need to!

Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer
Probably one of the most raved about primers on the market which is why I picked it up in the first place. I picked up the travel size one first to make sure I liked it and I actually ended up falling in love. It lasted me pretty long for the $18 price tag. But for the $56 or $72 price tag, I honestly wouldn't mind spending that because this product is worth it. It made my makeup stay in place and it smoothed my skin out.

Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil
I purchased the Bronzer Wardrobe that TF had out for the holidays last year and this was one of the mini bronzers that was included. This one suits my fair skin tone best and it has just enough of a grey undertone. As you can tell from the picture, I used the heck out of this! I already purchased the full size because I cannot live without this bronzer! I would suggest this for all my fair skin girls out there.

Boscia Luminizing Black Mask
This is a travel size that I got in a set called the Little Black Book. I'm so glad this was included because I've been dying to try this and I love it! You do have to be careful though because it legit like suctions onto your skin so when you go to peel it off, it can potentially hurt or make your skin red. It almost feels like you're ripping a layer of skin off lol. But if you put a thick layer of it, it doesn't hurt as bad. But I will say it definitely rips the blackheads and whiteheads out.

Macadamia Deep Repair Masque
They recently changed the name and packaging of this product but I dont remember the name :( I'm sorry! But this is great for getting lucious, smooth hair. It brings moisture back into your hair. It's a little more on the pricey side, I believe $26-$32, but it's worth it. This was my second jar that I've gone through and I need to restock ASAP!

LOreal Damage Erasing Balm
For those of you that don't like the hefty price tag of the Macadamia hair mask above, this is a GREAT alternative. It's only $5 at Walmart and works WONDERS. This really does work and it doesn't have any sulfates in it. After I ran out of this, I actually ended up picking up the blue one (I think it's called LOreal Moisture Lock or Moisture Repair) just to see if it was as good as this one so I'm testing that out now.

What are products you need to restock on ?!

Holiday Wishlist

It's August, why in the world would I be talking about the holidays NOW ?! Well as most of us makeup junkies know, makeup companies start rolling out the holiday collections in September and October. Crazy, I know but that's what it is and I'm on it because the last few years I missed out on some great products. So I've been stalking TrendMood on Instagram trying to find out all the products that will be releasing for the hoidays. With that said, these are not my pictures and I do not own them, they are just images from TrendMood so give them the credit because it's an amazing Instagram makeup account (shameless plug: so is mine ;) @beautyandablog). But enough on that I'm sure you're all just interested and here to see the products on my wishlist so let's get to it.

Tarte Blush Palette
Tarte comes out with a blush palette pretty much every year. I purchased the one from last year but I reaaallly love the colors in this one and the gold packaging. I'm not totally sure how much everything costs yet but I believe mine from last year was about $36 which is NOT bad for 5 blushes!
Sephora Give Me More Lip
Sephora also had something similar to this last year that I skipped out on but I would love to get it this year. They have so many good brands mixed in this one like Bite, KVD, YSL, NARS, Buxom, Too Faced, etc. I rarely ever go through a lipstick because I have so many so the fact that they're all mini doesn't bother me one bit. Plus they're adorable! I believe this set is $59
Too Faced Melted Kisses and Sweet Cheeks
I have been dying to try the TF blushes that came out and what a perfect way to try 3 PLUS get some liquid lipsticks? Yes please! Sign me up NOW. This set I believe is $36

Lorac Mega Pro (Pro Mega) 2
I never know if it's mega pro or pro mega but in any case, I have this palette from last year and ABUSE it. Like I adore it. I'm still not sure how I feel about the shade selection in this one but that's also what I said last year and ended up falling in love so I can only imagine I'll love this one too. Plus Lorac Pro shadows are my all time fav! I believe this palette will run you $59
Hourglass Ambient Palette
Shut. The. Front. Door. The moment I saw this palette I knew it had to be and is going to be mine. This sucker is a whopping $80 and worth every penny. I know this because I already have the 3 shade palette of both the highlighters and the one with the blushes. Dear lawddddd Hourglass outdid themself with this one. This comes with 2 blushes (which I believe are in the blush palette), a bronzer which I cant wait to try, and 3 highlighters (I know one is new and limited edition for this palette and the other two I believe are in the highlight palette). I don't mind getting some of the same shades in this palette that I already have because that just makes them back ups for the future. I heard the size of the pans are slightly smaller than the other palettes but that was probably to fit them all in without having bulky packaging. And let me tell you, Hourglass NEVER goes wrong with their packaging. Again this beauty is $80
MAC Whisper of Gilt
Probably THEEEEE most talked about highlighter, next to Estee Lauder Heatwave. It's nice to know that MAC actually listens to their customers because everyone has been begging for them to bring this baby back and they are! Ahhh I am so excited because I was not excited about the price tag of the original WOG on eBay. I don't have this yet, unfortunately I missed it the first time around but I have my heart set on this baby. I'm not sure how much this will be but hopefully somewhere in the same range of their other highlighters?
Superstars Lash
This is a set of I think 9-10 mini mascaras which is perfect to try out different kinds of high end mascaras at an affordable price. I believe this set is going to be about $29-$35 but you're getting Buxom, NARS, MUFE, Benefit, YSL, TF, Marc Jacobs so I'd say it's well worth it. And if you're a traveler, this will definitely be great for you.

Sephora Favorites Superstars
This set is awesome because you get a variety of things and the best of the best/most raved about products. I think this will be about $45 ish.

Charlotte Tilbury Fine Gold Brick Highlighter
WHAT. IS. LIFE?! Seriously this is perfect from the packaging to the product shape and how creative it is. Just stop. This needs to be mine like yesterday. Ughhh. I can only imagine this will cost about $55-$60 ish but for a highlighter junkie like myself, I do not mind shelling out that cash for this beauty.

With each day that goes by my list keeps getting longer and longer! Definitely tag me in pictures on IG if you find any makeup products you think I, or my readers, would be interested in and I also want to know what's on YOUR list?!

Milani Amore Matte Lip Cream Review

Hey babes! I'm back again with another review for all of you. So Milani (a drugstore brand with high end quality) has recently come out with somethng almost every makeup company has been releasing, liquid lipsticks. They have made these limited edition and they are called Amore Matte Lip Creams. It was rumored these were exclusive to Walgreens, but honestly I went to 3 Walgreens to hunt these bad boys down and none of my Walgreens even carried the brand! So luckily, I finally ended up finding all 8 at CVS!

So I ended up picking up Adore, Beloved, Lust, and Embrace and now that I have those I reaaaalllyyy want Desire and Romance to add those to my collection. These were $5.99 a piece at CVS and on the Milani website they are proced at $8.99 so my suggestion would be to pick them up at your local drugstore and save yourself some money.

So lets talk packaging. As you can see from the picture above, they are clear packaging with a gold cap - um yes. Thank you Milani for always sticking with the gold. I am obsessed. Not only that but they aren't in a round tube like most liquid lipsticks, they're in a square tube which I actually prefer so I think they did awesome on that.

So now down to the nitty gritty - the colors and formula. As far as the colors, I really just wish they had more nudes and pinks to choose from. The nudes they have are a little too brown for my liking and the only pink they have is a little too dark for an everyday color on my skintone, but they're gorgeous nonetheless. They definitely have the dark, vampy colors down to a T so they don't need any more of those. The formula is pretty much your standard liquid lipstick. It's not a mousse-like texture, just straight up liquid. I do recommend putting on a lip balm before applying these, because of the fact that they're matte, of course they can be drying. But personally I think they feel really comfortable on the lips. I also tried the kiss test to make sure it doesn't transfer and they passed with flying colors. These babies don't budge even when trying to take them off I absolutely have to use an oil because water or a makeup remover is just simply not enough. They have pretty good longevity but they tend to crumble/fade on the inner rim of the lips after awhile like any other liquid lipstick. Honestly, these are definitely worth the try especially for the $5.99 price point as opposed to $20 on a prestige brand. These are a yes in my book. I just hope they come out with more neutral colors.

Becca Cosmetics x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop Review

Everyone is obsessed, head over heels for Becca Cosmetics' shimmering skin perfectors and for very good reason. They are pigmented and gorgeous. But they released their collaboration with the infamous youtuber, Jaclyn Hill and it's probably the most raved about product out there right now! It's trending on Twitter, Instagram AND Sephora's website. JH has collabed with Becca and created the most beautiful highlighter called Champagne Pop which people say looks likes a shade in between Moonstone and Opal. I personally think it looks similar to The Balm's Mary Loumanizer, just with a little bit more peachy undertones but dear lawdddd is it gorgeous! It is a limited edition item but I believe this is still available so if you have the chance, get your hands on it while you still can! The formula is great, the color is perfection and can suit a wide range of skin tones from fair to medium-deep. It's just perfection in a package. I know Jaclyn has work on other products with other companies but this one blows them out of the water - BY FAR. I might be a little biased because I'm a highlighter junkie but seriously it's just that damn good.

As far as the packaging, the box is beautifully detailed. It's like a reflective gold/champagne/bronze color with bumps that look like droplets that you can actually feel which I think is awesome. But as far as the actual packaging of the product it is the same as the other Becca Shimmering Skin Perfectors. For being a limited edition product I think they should have made the packaging match the box like they did with their limited edition Blushed Copper. That packaging was gorgeous! But here is what the product actually looks like (you can also find these images on my Instagram @beautyandablog):

The price on this was the same as the other skin perfectors at $38 - pretty pricey but well worth it for the quality of product you get. I don't find it to be chunky or glittery, it's just reflective and a beautiful highlighter. I know a lot of people think it's just being talked about because it might be sponsored or whatever the reason may be, but I seriously believe everyone does love this product because I don't see how they couldn't. Like literally just look at that swatch omg I dieeeeee!

If you have this product, what are your thoughts on it ?
