Too Faced Born This Way Foundation Review

Hi my lovely viewers! Long time no post, I know. I apologize for going MIA on all of you without an explanation, but I've been extremely busy lately. Trust me, I have missed blogging like you wouldn't imagine! But it's been so long that I'm not sure I even know how to blog anymore lol. I made sure to still keep up to date with my social media, though so if you don't follow me yet, you should :) @beautyandablog.

But enough of this boring intro, let's get to the real reason you're here. A couple months ago Too Faced released a new foundation called Born This Way and it was all the rave on all the blogs, instagrams, and youtube channels. HSN was having a sale so of course I had to grab it while I could get it at a discounted price. Retail price is $39 USD and can be found on the Too Faced website, Sephora, and Ulta.

I'll dive into the packaging and let all of you know up front that I adore every aspect about the packaging. Too Faced always seems to manage to have the cutest package of all time, this one is no different. I love the frosted glass, the gold detailing, and most of all - IT HAS A PUMP. Any foundation that comes with a pump is most appreciated because it just makes life easier, so thank you Too Faced for knowing what your customers want and delivering.

With my purchase I also receieved 3 samples. The shade I got is Porcelain and then Vanilla, Light Beige and Sand are the 3 samples I got with my purchase. As far as the shade selection goes, I am not impressed in the slightest. There arent many options for extremely fair girls and not many options for deeper skin tones either. I saw that they're already planning on coming out with a few more shades to tend to these skin tones but the lightest shade that was available for me was Porcelain and honestly I wouldn't call it Porcelain at all. I have pink-neutral undertones and as my image above shows, the selection they have is very yellow based which is pretty upsetting. But aside from the shades, the formula itself is incredible. For those of you that know me, you know my holy grail foundation is Estee Lauder Double Wear and the Born This Way foundation is pretty much tied (just wish they had better shade selections). It has medium-full coverage but it's buildable. Without any primer underneath it makes the appearance of my pores look significantly smaller, my face looks smooth and my skin tone evens out (no redness). It doesn't feel or look caked on and it gives almost a demi-matte finish. I personally think this would be suitable for all skin types because I have combo skin and it didn't cling to any dry patches or get really oily in my T-zone. I would absolutely suggest this foundation if you can find your shade or if you have yellow undertones. I'm hoping the new shades they come out with are more my shade.

Let me know what other products you would like me to review because I'M BAAAACCCKKKK <3
