Salma Hayek Nuance Review

I have another exciting review for all of you and this time it's a drugstore brand! So already, that's a plus because it's affordable for most people. The brand is, as the title insinuates, Nuance by Salma Hayek. Please note, these products were kindly sent to me for review so a huge thank you goes out to the company for their generosity! I did not purchase any of these products, but this review is 100% my own my opinions and thoughts are 100% true.

If you're interested in these products after reading the reviews, you can find them exclusively at CVS and cvs.com.

Let's start with hair care, shall we? There is a shampoo, conditioner, and a hair mask. I'll give you prices first so you know what you're getting into. The shampoo and conditioner are both $7.99 for 10 fl. oz. and the hair mask is $9.99 for 6 fl. oz. So the prices are very affordable. The first thing I checked was to make sure these products were sulfate free because I won't use products that contain sulfate on my hair. These are all sulfate free which is a huge plus in my book. They also do not test on animals and their ingredients are amazing. For example, coconut oil, avocado oil, almond oil, and buriti oil. The shampoo made my hair feel very clean and the conditioner and hair mask made my hair feel very soft. The only thing I wasn't a big fan of was the time it took to rinse out the conditioner and hair mask. Because they're both a thicker consistency, it takes quite a bit of time to rinse out. There were times I would think I got all of it out, step out of the shower, ran my fingers through my hair and had to jump right back in because all of it wasn't completely rinsed out.

Next, let's talk about face products! All of the face products also have beneficial ingredients which is incredible for a drugstore brand! There's a Restoring Eye Cream, CC Cream, Sheer Liquid Veil SPF 50, and a Glow Facial Oil.

The Restorative Eye Cream is a little more expensive. It retails for $19.99 for 0.5 fl. oz. but you don't need much so it lasts a good while. I've been using it every night for the past 3-4 weeks and I still have a ton of product left! I've been looking for an eye cream lately because I haven't been too much into skin care until the last couple months and this one is perfect. It's very hydrating and doesn't burn or leave any residue.

The CC Cream retails for $14.99 for 1 fl. oz. Unfortunately I was a little too pale for the CC cream; it was about a shade or two darker than my skin tone, but I did wear it a few days when I knew I wasn't going anywhere just to see how it wore and this is suchhhhhh a beautiful CC cream. As you can see from the pictures below, it comes out green and then once it's blended, it blends to a skin tone color. I have issues with redness and I love foundations, CC creams, and BB creams that have full coverage and this was perfect for that. It gives beautiful coverage and goes on flawlessly. It made my skin look so beautiful. This would be perfect for lazy makeup days or no-makeup, makeup looks. I definitely recommend the CC cream for medium skin tones. I'm hoping by Summer I'll catch a good enough tan to match the CC cream to use it.

This Sheer Liquid Veil costs $9.99 for 1.7 fl. oz. When I first took a look at this, I thought it might have just been a sun screen because the SPF is so high, but it is actually a primer and a hydrator. It has a watery consistency but it blends easily and doesn't leave a white cast. This stuff smells amazing! It's so hard to describe scents, but I want to say it smells like roses. I've used this both with makeup and on it's own and I actually really love it. It does exactly what it's intent is; it hydrates and primes. If you don't want to pay $72 for the Hourglass Mineral Veil primer, this is a great alternative!
This Glow Facial Oil is on the more expensive side, costing $21.99 for 1 fl. oz. but you don't need more than a few drops so it will last you a LONG time. The way I used the facial oil was at night as part of my skin care routine. I would apply it before going to sleep and it really helped clear up some of my acne and redness and made my skin look beautiful. I don't usually use facial oils because I tend to have oily skin, but it didn't make my skin even more oily which is amazing! I also tried mixing it in with my foundation and it gave me a luminous glow. Perfection! The packaging on this one is glass so it gives it a more high-end feel and it also has a glass dropper which makes it great so you know you're not using too much.
