Bite into Beauty

I can finally give you all my thoughts and reviews on these five Bite Beauty lip products! This by far is my favorite review to get out to you all. As always, I want to be completely honest with my readers and let you know that the company did send me these to try and I am so, so, so, so grateful that they did! Huge shout out to Bite Beauty and their amazing PR team; thank you so much!

For those of you that have been following me for awhile, you know that I tried Bite about 6 months ago and fell in love. You can find a complete review on some of their lip sets here. and I also mentioned Bite in my What I Got For Christmas haul here. They are one of my favorite companies for lip products and hopefully you'll see why after the review! Although they sent me the products, my review and thoughts are 100% honest and my own. I am not getting paid to talk them up, I just truly love the company. Also another little side note, I apologize in advance on the image quality, I am still working on getting a good camera that takes amazing quality pictures. For now, I'm stuck with the iPhone - work with me people! Little by little!

Below is a picture of the 5 products they sent me. Pictured is 2 of their lipsticks in the shades Vento and Cava, a lip liner in Wine, a lip cream in Bordeaux, and their newer Smashed Agave Lip Mask. You can find Bite Beauty at Sephora and on their website by clicking here. The only one I can't find on their website is the lip liner, but I know they carry them in store.

So let's dive in, shall we?

Here are swatches of all 5 products next to each other.

Smashed Agave Lip Mask
As you can see in the picture of the product, the lip mask itself has an extremely thick consistency, I didn't think I would like it at first, but once you smooth it on your lips it transforms into a very hydrating lip mask. I love that it gives you a tint of pinkish red tint to give your lips a little pigment which is perfect for those days when you don't want to wear a lot of makeup or just to give you that natural look. I don't have very pigmented lips to begin with so those of you that do have pigmented lips, this might look similar to your natural lips and just add moisture and shine to them. This retails for $26 at Sephora but don't let the price scare you away because you get a very generous amount of product and you don't need a lot to cover your lips so it will last a long time.

Luminous Crème Lipstick in Vento
This is the color I didn't think I would love all that much because I'm not much of a pink lipstick kind of girl. I like my nudes and my reds - I know, completely opposite spectrums! But, I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. This pink is more of a natural pink. It's a little bit more sheer than I was expecting which I'm completely fine with because it gives me that "my-lips-but-better" color. DIE! Ugh, love, love, love. It has a very smooth application, sooo buttery and it doesn't emphasize lines or cling to dry patches. All my fair beauties out there, you need this in your life. Their lipsticks retail for $24 which, to put it in perspective, is still $8 less than the NARS Audacious lipsticks, just sayin!

Luminous Crème Lipstick in Cava
Sticking with lipsticks, the next one up is Cava which is a nude with brownish grey undertones. Now, I just mentioned that I loved nudes so this one should be right up my alley, right? I thought so when I first looked at it. I immediately fell in love with it in the tube and couldn't wait to get it on my lips! Unfortunately because I'm so fair, when I have it on, it pulls grey undertones which kind of makes me look, well, dead. It's still such a beautiful color and very pigmented! I think it would still look lovely on, as WhatWouldLizzyDo says, "brown biscuits", or people with olive or deeper skin tones. This one also doesn't settle into lines or cling to dry patches and it also retails for $24. Such a beautiful color, I can't wait to try it in the summer when I have some color to my ghostly pale skin! I'm hoping my perspective will change on this baby then.

Cashmere Lip Cream Bordeaux
I will definitely be whipping this baby out so much once Fall rolls around again because this is the perfect vampy Fall color! Although it's a lip cream, it's not a matte finish, more of a satin finish which I'm completely okay with. There are a few downsides to this beauty. One is that it is a little messy and does bleed a bit on its own, but if you use a lip liner you will be A-OK, good to go! The second thing is that it does cling to dry patches, but if you exfoliate beforehand, you have nothing to worry about. So even though there are some downsides to this product, they can be handled and fixed! On a more positive note, it doesn't sink into fine lines and it looks beautiful on the lips! And for those wondering, it has a flat doefoot applicator. It looks more of a purple burgundy in the tube but on me it pulls off more of a deep reddish burgundy This retails for $28 at Sephora.

Lip Liner in Wine
Last is their lip liner which I don't know why I can't find it on the Sephora website, but I think it retails for around $20 if I'm not mistaken. It is called Wine and normally when I think of a product that is named Wine, I think deep purples or burgundies, but this is like a true red which I love. And seriously, this lip liner is like no other! I saw Jaclyn Hill talk about their lip liners in a video of hers, but to actually see it in person is a different story! This lip liner isn't pointed like normal ones. This is a twist up liner and it is angled which is genius! It makes it so much easier to line your lips and forget the hassle of sharpening! I actually prefer their style of liners to pencils. I seriously need all of their lip liners now.

Overall, Bite Beauty products are an A+ in my book so if you are looking for a new lipstick, liner, lip mask, or lip cream - Bite Beauty should be your first stop! I can't thank them enough for how generous they've been; you're the real winner, Bite!
