Sweet Tartelette

My post about my Birthday Gifts revealed what goodies I got about a week ago (week agooo). Now I want to do a review so you all know whether or not I like what I got. The first item on the chopping block is the Tartlette palette.

The packaging on this palette is phenomenal. Tarte nailed the packaging. It is a pretty, almost ombre effect, purple with gold lettering and the back of the packaging is all mirrored gold. SO PRETTY! I'm obsessed with gold at the moment so don't mind me if I go on and on about the gold lol.

On the inside is, surprise! More gold :) There is a big mirror so that you can just set it down and do your makeup which comes in handy. On the bottom of the mirror (unfortunately not captured in my photo) is a small detail that says "tartelette".

There are 12, all new, shadows that are matte and it appears they have them categorized by row. The top row is more of your neutrals, middle row is your purples, and the bottom row is more for your smokey eye. I've fallen in love with this palette since the first time I saw it was being released. You can see the swatches are extremely pigmented and they are very blendable without blending away. This is an essential palette to have in your makeup drawer and for $44 it is an awesome value. It is available at Sephora and more recently, now at Ulta as well. This palette overall gets an A+, hands down!

Top: Free Spirit, Force of Nature, Dreamer, Multi Tasker
Middle: Caregiver, Natural Beauty, Best Friend, Bombshell
Bottom: Super Mom, Wanderer, Power Player, Fashionista

Dolce & Gabbana's fragrance: Dolce. I've seen this specific fragrance all over social media and Sephora had a 250 point perk that you could get a sample size (0.16 fl oz), so I decided to try it. It's hard to describe fragrances to someone but it has a pretty floral smell. If you want to see the notes on this fragrance, visit Sephora's website. This fragrance has 5 different sizes and the price ranges from $29 (roller ball) to $160 (full size). I love the packaging with the flower detail for the topper and the bow. The only thing I don't like about the bow is that is falls off; I wish it was glued on or something. I definitely see myself purchasing a full size of this.

Sephora's birthday perk is 2 free NARS mini lip crayons in Cruella and Rikugien. These are both so creamy and pigmented and they are both beautiful colors. I am so glad my birthday was just in time for them to switch their birthday gift to these gorgeous lippies. I might be a bit biased because NARS is my favorite brand, BUT, regardless this is a great gift.
