Lorac You Rock: Review

Lorac Royal Lip Lustre Crème Sets

This was from Lorac's holiday collection. They had 3 different sets with mostly all different shades. They had a few repeats (like Tiara) but otherwise, there were specific, "exclusive", shades for each set. So of course, me being the princess that I am - I had to collect them all. Lol.

First, let me just say that as much as I wanted these for how cute the names were, I was a little skeptical because I kept hearing that they had a sticky consistency to them which is obviously no good. Also, I'm not much of a lip gloss girl, but more into lipsticks. Thankfully that awful rumor turned out to be false. I tried them on for myself and they weren't sticky! Score 1- Lorac, 0- Critics.

Like I mentioned above, I'm obsessed with how cute and clever the names of the lip glosses are. Super fitting to me if I do say so myself *insert crown emoji*

I think it was a good marketing tactic on their end to spread them out into specific locations. I believe one was only available at HSN, the other at Ulta, and the other on Lorac's website. So in order to get all 3, you had to purchase one from each place - ultimately giving Lorac business as well as Ulta and HSN.

I hold Lorac to some pretty high standards and I must say, for lip gloss - I'm impressed. These sets get a thumbs up from me!

These next 3 reviews are all on Lorac eye shadows. The first is their Lorac Pro 2 palette. This was the first Lorac product I purchased and I am so happy I did. I heard so many reviews about their first Pro palette and the second one lives up to the hype. The pigmentation is insane, the shadows are buttery, and I got it at a steal for just $20 on HSN.com! I also think they have a great range of color as well. I've been wanting the 1st Pro palette and their Unzipped palette so hopefully in the near future I'll be scooping those up as well.

I hear tons of people raving about the Urban Decay Naked palettes, and I personally have all three, and none of them come close to the Lorac palettes. If someone asks me UD Naked palette or Lorac Pro palette I would say Lorac hands down!

Next is Lorac's Royal Eye Shadow Set. Honestly, the shadows in this collection didn't even really catch my eye, it was the packaging and the name. Princess, Queen, etc...it just fits me - so I needed it lol. But after swatching them, I'm actually pleasantly surprised and glad I picked this beauty up. This was also part of their holiday collection. I just wish the shadows had names added to them.

Last is the most talked about Lorac Mega Pro palette. People have been dying for this palette since it released. Of course they made it limited edition - UGH I hate when they do that to most wanted products. Anywho, I legit stalked their website the day it was being released and as any other makeup fiend, I refreshed the page a million times until it let me purchase it! Thankfully I was lucky enough to get my hands on it. For those of you that weren't able to, I'm hoping they bring it back so you can get it!

Now, before this came out I heard a lot of talk; the colors weren't appealing to many people, the pigmentation wasn't good, blah blah..blah blah blah.

But here's my take on it: it's extremely pigmented, the colors are amazing (my favorite is Mulberry), and for the price of $59 for 32 shades - you can't beat it. I also love that there are both matte and shimmer shadows in this palette as most of Lorac's palettes do. Ultimately - this is a YES in my book.
