How-To: Fishtail Braid

For the longest time I've been wanting to learn how to fishtail braid. The trend has been popular for like 4 years as far as I noticed, and I JUST learned how to master the braid in a matter of, literally, THREE MINUTES! I hope to explain it as simply as I learned. The video I used to help me was created by Lauren Conrad and it was super simple! Not to mention I'm like obsessed with Lauren Conrad and have been ever since Laguna Beach. Completely trivial, but so accurate. She is the epitome of classic! Any who, here is the video I used. This is a super cute chic look for lazy days when you don't feel like straightening or curling your hair. It's a perfect hair style for work or a summer day.

First, take an elastic rubber band (or hair tie) and put your hair in a ponytail. It doesn't matter where, but I always adore a side braid - you can never go wrong with one. Second, split your hair in two pieces so you have half of your hair in your left hand and half of your hair in the right hand.

Third, take a strand from the outside of one of the pieces and cross it over to the other side, then take another strand of hair from the outside of the opposite hand. Continue this all the way down until you can no longer braid and put a rubber band (or hair tie) at the bottom of the braid.

Lastly, carefully cut the original elastic.

I hope you enjoyed beauties.
